Newly declassified documents reveal that former President Obama and his national security team laid the groundwork for what would become a years-long, politically motivated investigation into President Trump. Despite intelligence assessments at the time concluding that Russia was probably not attempting to influence the 2016 election through cyber means, the Obama Administration pushed forward anyway, directing the creation of a misleading intelligence assessment to justify the false narrative.

This week, I got a call from the National Republican Congressional Committee. They wanted a donation. For the first time, I let the volunteer on the other end of the line make her case. When she asked me to donate $100, I said to her: “I want you to know that normally, I would hang up on these calls because the Republican Party would get nothing done and often squanders its political capital. However, this is the first time I am planning to donate. You are getting sh—t done!”

Imagine a sitting U.S. president – who in conjunction with his Senior-most National Security Team – fabricated intelligence at the president's instruction so as to undermine his successor. Governor Greg Abbott today thanked his fellow Governors across the country for providing critical emergency response and recovery resources to Texas following a request for support after devastating flooding across the state. Following an Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) request from the State of Texas, 26 states provided state emergency response resources to assist Texas with flood response and recovery operations.

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced the Texas Senate's legislative initiatives for this summer's first Special Session of the 89th Legislature earlier today. Addressing the issue of Consumable Hemp-Derived Products that offer a similar high to marijuana – and are now widely available across Texas thanks to a loophole in a previous law – was initially seen as the most high-profile item anticipated for the session.

The U.S. Senate passed the Illegal Red Snapper and Tuna Enforcement Act, introduced by Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.), and Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.). The bipartisan bill directs the NIST and the NOAA to develop a standard methodology for identifying the country of origin of red snapper and certain species of tuna imported into the U.S.

Ronald Reagan, who called for the cancelation of scores of programs, couldn't get Congress to end the eternal life-support system. After watching Congress fund even the most inefficient agencies, he famously groused that "the closest thing to immortality on this earth is a government program." But to quote the back-in-vogue poet of the people, Bob Dylan, the times they are a-changin' in Washington.

With varying degrees of scorn or anger, Democrats have for years denied that they are Communists. Now, however, the deniability is no longer even close to plausible. This time it’s real – and undeniable. The Communists are clearly the future of the Democrat Party. Hating America and having a taste for Marxism goes with being a Democrat like arrogance and self-righteousness go with being Barack Obama.

During the meeting, Ambassador Moreno Bau offered support to Texans following the catastrophic flooding that occurred over July 4th holiday weekend, recalling a similar tragedy which occurred a year ago in Valencia. The Ambassador also underscored Spain's strong economic footprint in Texas, noting that Spain has over 100 active investment projects in the state across key industries like energy production, infrastructure, and steel manufacturing.

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller announced a bold step forward in the battle against the reemergence of the New World Screwworm (NWS) near the United States. Working closely with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is spearheading efforts to reintroduce an improved pest control method to our international Screwworm response: Swormlure Bait.

Colonias are predominantly rural, Hispanic communities located along the U.S.-Mexico border, characterized by substandard housing, inadequate access to potable water and wastewater infrastructure, and high poverty rates. Colonias located within metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) with populations exceeding 1,000,000 are excluded from eligibility for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Colonia Set-Aside Program—even if they continue to face the severe infrastructure deficiencies characteristic of colonias.

Parents and students across the country have reason to celebrate after President Trump signed the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" into law on Independence Day.  For the first time in U.S. history, the federal government established a tax credit to provide scholarship funding for students’ kindergarten through 12th grade education. This marks a historic step toward universal education choice, parent-directed funding, and freedom from failing systems.

After four years of President Biden’s weak leadership that fueled global chaos, President Trump has swiftly reassert the U.S. Military as the front runner on the global stage and restore peace through strength. 

Last week, House Republicans took action to rein in Washington’s reckless spending by passing a major "rescissions package" that eliminated over $9 billion in wasteful programs flagged by President Trump & the Dept. of Government Efficiency. House Republicans are digging into the bloated bureaucracy, ending Democrat's ridiculous woke projects, and eliminating spending that insults our intelligence & values.
