Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) introduced the Rural Veterans Dental Care Act. This legislation would establish a pilot program to deliver dental care to veterans living in rural areas through mobile delivery methods, such as fully equipped dental vans. This closes a longstanding gap in access to dental care for rural veterans eligible for VA dental benefits by bringing dental services directly to where they live.

When a School District in Texas begins to decline or fail to maintain a standard of Hope & Inspiration, students from the brightest to its most vulnerable suffer and are impacted. In public education, the measure of success isn’t found in Slogans or Strategic Plans, but in how a district treats its students at the margins – the children who need the most help, and those who need the most challenge. By that standard, Leander ISD is failing both.
Affordability. It's all of a sudden the word that's on everybody's lips. Ever since self-described Socialist-Democrat Zohran Mamdani became the frontrunner in the New York City mayoral election by saying the word with talismanic regularity, we've been told that the key to modern politics is the word's repetition. There is in the end, however, only one way to make things more "affordable". And there are only two ways to reduce prices: reduce demand, or increase supply.
By definition – and by all procedural realities – the side that votes not to keep government open is the one that is "shutting down" government. This is not complicated. On the other hand, a vote to fund and keep government operating is, yes, a vote to fund and keep government "open." Every Republican in the House & Senate voted to "keep government open." The votes against the funding all came from Democrats. So now that the government shutdown's almost over, can we stop pretending it was a Republican shutdown?

Democrats are the evil party – but that doesn’t mean they’re stupid. In fact, I often have to remind people that they are evil, not stupid, to explain why they do the things they do. It explains why, after more than 6 weeks, they suddenly decided to vote to reopen the government. It wasn’t because they felt people were suffering – you don’t subscribe to a political philosophy responsible for 100 million deaths in the last century if you have concern over suffering – but because it was electoral politics, plain and simple.
Apparently restrooms on Capitol Hill and in the nation’s National Parks will soon be open again. And according some members of the U.S. House, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer needs to be one of the first things flushed after Senate Democrats folded like a cheap lawn chair after 6 weeks of posturing —without President Trump or Congressional Republicans giving Schumer anything close to a win. This is what capitulation looks like, and 'The Left" is coming unglued.
America faced a harsh reality this week. As President Trump said, “We have a choice between communism and common sense.” The rubber has hit the road in New York, Virginia, and New Jersey. It didn’t matter that the attorney general–elect wanted to kill a GOP lawmaker and his family, or that Zohran Mamdani is a communist who openly despises Israel. Just 24 years after 9/11, the people of New York—once a beacon of American perseverance—have elected a mayor who represents everything this country is not.
The Democratic Party has officially handed over its reins to the most radical parts of its base. Amidst Democrats' record-breaking shutdown, they’ve also made a far-left socialist the face of their future. Zohran Mamdani — NYC's newly-elected mayor — has suggested the U.S. abolish its entire prison system and called the NYPD racist and a threat to public safety. His victory is a loss for anyone who values the rule of law, limited government, and the American dream.
52 Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) training grants totaling over $14 million have been awarded to Texas higher education institutions and independent school districts (ISD) to train students for high-demand, good-paying jobs after graduation. These JET grants awarded through TWC will help public junior, state, and technical colleges; school districts; and open-enrollment charter schools buy equipment for career and technical education (CTE) programs that help students across the state go into high-demand industries.
So congratulations, Senate Democrats — you wasted 40+ days of America’s life and accomplished exactly nothing. You didn’t save Obamacare. You didn’t win hearts and minds. You didn’t even hold your caucus together. You just proved that when push comes to shove, your “unity” is a mirage. The government’s about to be back open. The headlines have faded. But the memory of who caused this mess should linger. Next time they promise to “fight for working families,” remember who they made suffer first.
