House Republicans united to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill Act this week. In November, 77 million Americans demanded change, and this vote will go down in history as promises made, promises kept. This legislation reverses four years of failed Democrat policies – restoring American energy dominance, delivering vital support to our farmers and ranchers, securing historic tax cuts for hardworking families, reining in wasteful government spending, and making the strongest investment in border security in decades. This legislation delivers all that – and more – for every American.

HB 2674, authored by State Representative David Cook and sponsored in the Senate by Senator Brent Hagenbuch, affirms and strengthens the legal protections that shield Texas homeschoolers from bureaucratic overreach. The proposed law would prevent state agencies such as the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and the State Board of Education (SBOE) from creating or enforcing their own regulations on homeschooling.

 It’s the federal government’s job to secure the homeland, yet the Biden/Harris administration abdicated its duty and abandoned our states on the frontlines of the border crisis. As Texans know, our state bore the brunt of that abject failure, both societally and financially. Thankfully, Governor Abbott stood up Operation Lone Star to fill in that gap, defend the border, and keep Texan communities as safe as possible — a project that cost more than $11 billion.

As the left-wing corporate media engages in Trump Derangement Syndrome over poll numbers, which are all over the place, they never mention the fact that no matter how bad any numbers they find or manufacture about Donald Trump, they will never be as bad as the numbers for Democrats. Any Democrat. They are about as popular with the American people as an infected toe. Which would you rather have, an infected toe or a flaming case of Pelosi? 

Of all the dangers facing our country today, perhaps the greatest is one that doesn’t make headlines – our collective national amnesia and how our children are given little sense of our nation's greatness. In fact, children are increasingly taught the exact opposite. I'm often struck by how many American children have nothing good to say about our country.

Governor Greg Abbott today celebrated Texas as the No. 1 state in the nation for job creation, adding more new jobs last month and over the last year than any other state. Under Governor Abbott's leadership, Texas has added more than 2.5 million jobs since he took office in January 2015.On Friday, Governor Abbott celebrated Texas setting new records for total jobs, the number of Texans working, and the size of the Texas labor force based on April employment data released by the Texas Workforce Commission.

"The truth is, our schools have become soft targets for twisted, evil individuals. I’m a dad of six – I share the same worries that Parents & Grandparents across America do when it comes to the safety of our kids in the classroom. That’s why I am fully committed to safeguard our schools," said South Texas Cong. Tony Gonzales.

One reason the public turned on The Looney Left's DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) indoctrination efforts was its insistence that some 70% of the country was stereotyped as "victimizers" – by virtue of their skin color. Absurd. The other "diverse" 30%, by contrast, were considered the "victimized." But human nature is universal – and transcends race.

“Over the last four years, Americans suffered – chaos on our Border, crime ridden streets, a cost-of-living crisis that decimated families and left them more vulnerable. America was weaker, and more divided than it had been in generations. Through my seat on the House Homeland Security Committee, I helped shape the bill’s Border Security Provisions, which include funding for checkpoint upgrades, new technology & infrastructure, Operation Stonegarden Law Enforcement Grants, and CBP bonuses."

Yesterday, the No Tax on Tips Act passed the Senate by a vote of 100-0. The bill had been introduced in the U.S. Senate by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), and co-led by Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.). It now heads to the U.S. House of Representatives for a vote. The No Tax on Tips Act exempts “cash tips”—cash, credit and debit card charges, and checks—from federal income tax by allowing taxpayers to claim a 100% deduction at filing for tipped wages.

Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) today announced over $46,315,000 million in Fund for Veterans’ Assistance (FVA) grants will be distributed to 175 organizations across the state. Approved by TVC Commissioners at their meeting last week, FVA grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations and local government agencies throughout Texas that provide direct services to veterans and their families.

Student loan debt soared to more than $1.5 trillion during the Biden presidency, and the response by Washington was to "forgive" hundreds of billions of these unpaid loans by deadbeat borrowers and let the taxpayers pick up the tab. It was never clear why the universities that charge exorbitant tuitions that have reached more than $75,000 a year at many elite schools shouldn't bear the cost of the program -- but that's another story.

“America First means Safety First – Americans are safer on roads alongside truckers who can understand and interpret our traffic signs,” said U.S. Dept. of Transportation Sect. Sean Duffy, signing an order at a trucking event in Austin. "This common-sense change ensures that the penalty for failure to comply is more than a slap on the wrist," Duffy said, announcing new enforcement guidelines for Commercial Truck Operators.
