This week, Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) and I launched a new caucus, the Delivering Outstanding Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus. We will be dedicated to eliminating the rampant waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government working alongside President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency. The DOGE Caucus will work alongside Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to reclaim our country and ensure fiscal responsibility in our government.
Earlier this week, Governor Abbott issued executive orders to protect Texans from the coordinated harassment and coercion by the CCP, harden state government from being accessed by hostile foreign nations that attempt to infiltrate Texas, and protect Texas’ critical infrastructure from threats posed by the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the CCP. The FBI Houston also put out a warning to Texans this week that the PRC may be targeting and harassing Chinese dissidents who speak out against the CCP in Texas.
Representative Brian Harrison and a coalition of current and incoming members of the Texas House of Representatives sent a letter to the University of Texas System (UT System) Board of Regents demanding answers, on behalf of Texas taxpayers, for the System’s unilateral, and possibly unconstitutional, decision to bypass the legislature and provide “free” tuition UT System wide to undergraduate students whose families earn up to $100,000.
During fiscal 2024, which ended on Aug. 31, Hegar’s office awarded $125.7 million to 502 grant recipients, comprising qualified counties and prosecutor offices. The Comptroller’s office awarded an additional $98.4 million to 396 grant recipients in fiscal 2025. Hegar encourages eligible law enforcement and prosecutor offices whose fiscal years begins Jan. 1 to apply for funding by the Jan. 31, 2025, deadline.
Despite being the target of Democrat lawfare for years, a defiant Trump promised to end an open border, massive illegal immigration, rising crime, and soaring prices. He pledged to slash government and its administrative state, terminate racial and gender identity politics, and restore deterrence abroad. The people overwhelmingly wanted those messages but were waiting for an unorthodox messenger who would actually deliver them.
"We will focus on driving change through Executive Action, based on existing legislation rather than passing new laws. Our North Star for reform will be the U.S. Constitution," said Elon Musk & Vivek Ramaswamy, having been named by President-Elect Trump to serve as Co-Leaders of the Dept. of Government Efficiency, or "DOGE" for short. And according to Musk & Ramaswamy, DOGE will present a list of recommendations to President Trump, who can by Executive Action immediately take action.
Governor Greg Abbott showcased Texas’ booming energy industry and the unique business opportunities that continue to attract companies from around the world to the state during a fireside chat at the Texas Oil & Gas Association’s (TXOGA) 2024 Lone Star Energy Forum in Frisco. During the fireside discussion moderated by Chevron Mid-Continent Business Unit Vice President Ryder Booth, Governor Abbott highlighted Texas’ successful economic policies that allow businesses of all sizes to thrive
After the legislature voted last year to bring the program to all families in the state, demand was so significant that more than 55,000 families had to be waitlisted for the program after funding ran out. In response to this high demand, lawmakers in the Tarheel state voted for expansion, but Governor Cooper vetoed the bill. The legislature voted to override Cooper's veto - thus freeing up nearly $500 million in funding that will clear the waitlist.
Condoleezza Rice, the 66th U.S. Secretary of State, and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott headlined the Texas Oil & Gas Association’s (TXOGA) Lone Star Energy Forum in Frisco, Texas, recently, and showcased the global leadership of the Texas Oil & Natural Gas Industry that is directly contributing to a cleaner, stronger, better energy future for our State, Nation and World. "Oil & gas powers the Texas economy, and is one of the reasons we're the 8th Largest Economy in the entire world," said Abbott.
MSNBC's Joe Scarborough & Mika Brzezinski went to Mar-a-Lago the other day to "Kiss the Ring" of Donald Trump, and spent a reported 90 minutes with the President-Elect. Question: What's it like spending 90 minutes with a "fascist," a "thug" and a man who is "utterly despicable"? Did they bring along a food taster? As for why they made the trek: "We realized it's time to do something different. That starts with not only talking about Donald Trump, but also talking with him," said Brzezinski. Well, lets Roll some tape.
Folks, it’s no secret – this country desperately needs bold leadership to restore fiscal sanity in our nation’s capital and pull us back from the brink of a debt crisis. That’s why I’m thrilled the American people once again put their trust in Donald Trump to return to the Oval Office. His bold decision to appoint two of the brightest minds in the business world – Elon Musk & Vivek Ramaswamy – to lead the newly established Dept. of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is exactly the kind of innovative, no-nonsense approach we need.
“The FBI reported that the Chinese Government has actively targeted Local & State Officials as part of their strategy to undermine the National Security of the United States. Hardening our State Government is critical to protect Texans from hostile foreign actors who attempt to undermine the safety &security of Texas – and our #1 priority is to protect Texans, including from espionage threats from the Chinese Communist Party and its proxies,” said Gov. Greg Abbott, directing all State Agencies and Public Institutions of Higher Education to harden the state's systems.
“As Texas Land Commissioner – and steward of over 13 million acres – it’s been my promise to all Texans to use every Texas General Land Office tool at my disposal to gain complete control of our Southern Border. This is why I'm offering President-elect Trump over 1,400 acres of State Land in Starr County on the Southern Border to aid his effort in carry out their deportation plans while putting the safety and well-being of all Americans first,” said Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham.
“Oil & Natural Gas Employment Data for the year confirm Governor Abbott’s statement at TXOGA’s just-completed Annual Lone Star Energy Forum," said Texas Oil & Gas Association President Todd Staples, as new data from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) showed industry employment grew by 1,400 in October when compared to the previous month of September. The jobs pay among the highest wages in Texas, with employers paying an average salary of approximately $124,000 in 2023.
Call them Manhattan's vanishing voters. Citywide, 573,618 fewer New York City voters cast their ballots for Kamala Harris than they did for Joe Biden in 2020. Donald Trump gained 94,611 voters, but most just sat out the election. This potential voting bloc of Democrats – fed up with left-wing extremism – could, in fact, help elect a law-and-order Manhattan District Attorney to replace the controversial Alvin Bragg, the soft-on crime lefty largely responsible for the mayhem on New York City's streets.
Rest assured, efforts to derail Donald Trump’s election mandate are already underway within a high-level group of Government Employees & Biden-Harris Staff known as "Political Appointees." Many of what is referred to as "The Swamp" start their careers there, and subsequently 'burrow in" for a lifelong career of benefits and perks in future administrations. There are 7,000+ such people in each administration, and Trump should get rid of every single one of them if he's serious about draining The Swamp. They all need to go.
“Today I am announcing a new research program priority, structured like CPRIT (the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas,) and funded for a decade. It will be the Dementia Prevention Research Institute of Texas, or DPRIT. DPRIT will be laser-focused on Dementia, just as CPRIT is laser-focused on Cancer. Like CPRIT, this investment will draw leading researchers and companies to Texas, and require them to be based in Texas, leading to their further investment in our state," said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick.
"Ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of Texans is a top priority. Texas will not tolerate the harassment or coercion of the more than 250,000 individuals of Chinese descent who legally call Texas home," said Gov. Greg Abbott of the coordinated harassment and coercion by the People's Republic of China (PRC) or the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The Governor directed the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to target and arrest any criminals executing CCP influence operations.
