For the first time in one poll’s history, Democrat's Congressional "Approval Rating" has gone negative among their own voters. Just 40% now "approve" – compared to 49% who "disapprove." That’s a dramatic change from last year when 75% approved and 21% disapproved. The numbers are clear: No longer satisfied with the Party's Status Quo, the Democrat Party's base is on the verge of an intra-party revolt to move even further to the left. And according to party insiders, Democrat voters are even angrier than you think.
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Federal Courts introduced the Protect LNG Act, which would ensure that a court cannot vacate a previously authorized LNG permit, clarify the venue for LNG lawsuits before federal courts, and mandate that courts grant expedited decisions in these cases, and was joined by Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) in introducing the bill.
Last week, I was re-appointed to again serve on the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors, President Trump and Defense Secretary Hegseth took steps to deliver on their promise to restore lethality and mission readiness to the U.S. Air Force, I introduced legislation to codify President Trump's recent actions to restore law and order into law, and former President Biden was exposed for covering up reports on LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) Exports. Here's the details.
The "Gift Accountability, Registration & Disclosures (GARD) Act" is the 11th piece of legislation introduced by Cong. Donalds this session, and is co-led in a bi-partisan effort by Cong. Jared Golden (D-ME). Designed as corrective action to address the Biden White House's lack of transparency and abuse of the nation's Foreign Gift Disclosure Guidelines, it has received support from the Concerned Veterans of America, the Foundation for Govt. Accountability, Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in D.C. and others.
“It's common sense – and good state policy – to prohibit our foreign adversaries from purchasing Texas land. I am optimistic that with the leadership of our new speaker, Dustin Burrows, SB 17 will finally pass the House and become law – and I thank Sen. Kolkhorst for her continued leadership on this essential state and national security issue,” said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, after a bipartisan vote on Senate Bill 17 by Sen. Lois Kolkhorst passed the legislation to the Texas House of Representatives for consideration.
How did I, my parents, grandparents and ancestors – going back to the founding of the nation – manage to get a decent education before Jimmy Carter and a Democrat-controlled Congress created the U.S. Dept. of Education? Quite well, thank you very much. But according to Gallup's latest poll, the percentage of adults "dissatisfied" with today's Public Schools has increased from 62% in 2019 – to 73% today. And since the percentage "satisfied" is at its lowest level since 2001, can't President Trump eliminate the Dept. of Education?
Here's just part of where we can start. Its a 10 Item List with an introduction that reads: "Top Democrats tell us their party is in its deepest hole in nearly 50 years – and they fear things could actually get worse." The party has its lowest favorability ever. There's no popular national leader to help improve it, they can't stop most legislation in Congress, there's dwindling liberal media influence, a bad 2026 map for the Senate, and they're losing working-class voters. Something is wrong with the Democrat Party.
"At the beginning of the session in January, I laid out the most conservative and bold agenda in Texas Senate history. At the halfway point of the 89th Regular Legislative Session, the Senate is hard at work passing important legislation. Just one week after the bill filing deadline, the Senate had already passed 21 of the top 40 Priority Bills – including my priorities, the senators’ priorities, and the most important. bills the voters asked me to pass," noted the leader of the Texas Senate, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick.
Last week we shared some charts on the utter failure and folly of federal intervention in education for K-12. An even bigger failure has been the $1.5 trillion Student Loan boondoggle. As even more federal dollars have flowed into higher education in grants and (largely forgivable) loans, what is clear is that almost none of these treasure chests of wealth are being used to make college more affordable. Is it time to impose an Excise Tax on university tax-free endowments above $1 billion?
Pity poor John Roberts. No, he’s not corrupt or compromised. He is simply a man who's found himself at a pivotal time and place, in a position of great responsibility, that's going to require decisive action. He’s not a dumb man. In fact, he's a very smart man – Hugh Hewitt knew him personally in the Reagan White House, and testifies to that. I have no doubt it’s true. I know many smart people who have similar flaws. But a decision point is coming. Can we be confident Justice John Roberts is wise enough to handle it?
The long-simmering battle within the Democrat Party in Washington, D.C. has not only been laid bare this past week, but after the recent government shutdown funding fight between House & Senate Democrats inflamed how badly the party is divided, gasoline has already been added to the fire. To make matters worse, Democrats know it's Donald Trump's successes that are fueling their disintegration – and he's only getting started. All hell has broken loose among the Democrats.
The approval of this Fire Management Assistance Grant makes Texas eligible for 75% reimbursement from the federal government for costs associated with fighting the Pauline Road Fire. Fire Management Assistance Grants are available to states and local jurisdictions for the mitigation, management, and control of fires on publicly or privately owned forests or grasslands, which threaten such destruction and would constitute a major disaster.
"America is facing a critical pilot shortage, and we must act before it's too late," said Cong. Byron Donalds, announcing the introduction of legislation to address the critical pilot shortage facing our nation. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 14,500 pilots will be needed every year through 2030, and the shortage is estimated to be 17,000 commercial aviation pilots by 2030. Arising from a combination of factors, Donalds' effort would help establish a qualified pipeline of individuals to become pilots.
"As more people and more companies move to Texas, our Electrical Grid must become even stronger and more reliable to ensure that the Texas Miracle continues uninterrupted," said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick earlier today, following the unanimous passage of Senate Bill 6 by Sen. Phil King that would increase Texas’ Electric Grid Reliability. “Texas is open for business like never before, and prioritizing SB 6 will ensure the grid's reliability while managing our state’s growth over the coming years."
President Trump has invoked the "Alien Enemies Act" of 1798 to remove members of Foreign Terrorist Organizations and protect American citizens. However, a radical District Court Judge has issued an unlawful decision imposing a nationwide freeze on the White House’s efforts to protect Americans from brutal criminals. Attorney General Paxton and a coalition of State Attorneys Generals, led by South Carolina, has filed a response urging the Circuit Courts to overturn this blatant example of judicial overreach.
For years, the left has advanced utter untruths for cheap partisan purposes that it knew at the time were all false. And now when caught, they just shrug and say they were lying all along. The perpetrators have neither apologized for their lies, nor tried to either deny or substantiate them. No one involved has ever been held legally accountable. And all these lies have divided the country – and permanently damaged the U.S. Indeed, that was the point. And the ruse worked like a charm.
The torrent of Injunctions & Temporary Restraining Orders issued by District Court Judges in recent weeks – against President Trump's efforts to reform everything from foreign aid to immigration enforcement, from Defense Department enlistment to climate change grant boondoggles – boggles the mind. And at this point it’s not too much to say they're plunging us into a "Constitutional Crisis." The reality is, this is Liberal's & Democrat's last gasp to preserve their entire scheme of an Administrative State.
With American consumers still recovering from years of inflation & price hikes – for food, gas & housing – more credit cardholders are carrying debt forward or falling behind on their payments. But now a group calling themselves "Texans Against Hidden Credit Card Fees" wants to overhaul the way credit cards are processed in Texas that would benefit large retailers like Walmart & Home Depot – but force smaller Mom & Pop Stores to create entirely new payment systems in order to “save” just $21 a month.
