Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to over 532,100 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 52,400 criminal arrests, with more than 44,500 felony charges. In the fight against the fentanyl crisis, Texas law enforcement has seized over 668 million lethal doses of fentanyl—enough to kill every man, woman, and child in the United States, Mexico, and Canada combined during this border mission.
Over the decades – and all the way up to modern times – it’s mostly Democrats who march, demonstrate, riot, set fires, break store windows, assassinate, and murder. Republicans’ one venture into it has so upset Nancy Pelosi, the Media, and the Woke-Left that it's turned into a Holy Day for Democrats. We call it "JanuarySixthmas." A complete list of Democrat & Progressive Violence would take a roomful of researchers to assemble.
Last week I proudly voted to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility "SAVE Act" to restore public confidence in our Election System and close loopholes that enable non-citizens to vote. Americans deserve to know their elections will be safe & secure – yet 208 Democrats voted against this commonsense legislation. Their opposition underscores why we need the bill — to provide a line of defense against fraudulent Democrat efforts.
Attorney General Ken Paxton and the Dallas Independent School District (“ISD”) have entered into an agreed order to ensure that the District is not violating Texas law by permitting biological males to participate in girls’ sports. In February, Paxton requested records from Dallas ISD related to alarming evidence, including a video, that the District had – in violation of state law – implemented an unwritten policy of encouraging male students to alter their birth certificates to play in girls' sports.
"Small businesses are the backbone of the American Economy, and it's crucial that they access affordable credit to support and grow our communities," said House Small Business Committee Chairman – and Texas Congressman – Rep. Roger Williams. "It is time to eliminate costly regulatory burdens on financial institutions. It is time to 'Make Small Businesses Great Again,' and It is time to put an end to burdensome and difficult rule-making."
"Thanks to Senate Local Government Committee Chair Paul Bettencourt and his continued leadership in reducing taxes for Texans, with the passage of Senate Bill 32 the Business Personal Property Tax Exemption will be significantly increased, and more Texas businesses will be eligible to receive it,” said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, after the Texas Senate passed a major tax cuts for small businesses, Senate Bill 32, by Sen. Bettencourt.
Gov. Greg Abbott today held a meeting with Governor Hideaki Ohmura of Aichi Prefecture to discuss the strong economic relationship between Texas and Japan and explore new opportunities to increase trade at the Governor’s Mansion in Austin. During the meeting, Governor Abbott and Governor Ohmura highlighted the successful economic partnership between Texas and Japan, pointing to the Statement of Mutual Cooperation (SMC) both leaders signed during Governor Abbott’s economic development mission last year to Japan.
"The fact that we even need this legislation proves just how far Democrats have gone in opening our elections to abuse. House Republicans are taking a stand to restore trust, secure our elections, and stop foreign interference," said Cong. Brian Babin after having voted in favor of H.R. 22, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility, or "SAVE Act" that was introduced and sponsored by Babin's fellow Texas Congressman Chip Roy.
This process is about fulfilling the American people’s mandate and advancing the President’s America First agenda. We ought to remind ourselves of the imperatives that remain top of mind for Americans across the entire country. They want a secure border, lower taxes, American energy dominance, and a smaller, less costly, and more accountable federal government. We ought to address these imperatives without delay – and that means proceeding to the reconciliation process and continuing our work that began just a few short months ago.
Congressman Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) joined Congressman Juan Ciscomani (R-Ariz.) in a bipartisan effort to get the U.S. Army to review regulations that prevent eligible veterans and service members from receiving one of our nation’s most distinguished military honors, the Purple Heart. A Purple Heart is given to current and former members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded or killed as a result of enemy action while serving.
Many call the American effort to obtain either tariff parity or a reduction in the $1 trillion trade deficit – and 50 years of consecutive trade deficits – a "trade war." But what do they call the policies of the past half-century by Europe, Asia, China, and others to ensure tariffs, pseudo-security trade restrictions and large surpluses? A trade peace? Trade fairness? And why are the Democrats and the Media so furious? Why are they so amplified by Donald Trump?
Behold, America, "The Art of The Deal." For 10-plus years Donald Trump has told anyone who'd listen that he would use tariffs to try and secure better trade deals for the American people. But to have any impact, those words had to be backed by action – real substance and threat. Last week he announced the U.S. would enact "Reciprocal Tariffs," and his critics pounced: "He's picking a fight with the entire world!" Today, China is isolated, and 75 Nations have come to Trump's Table for talks.
Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) has introduced bicameral legislation to prevent the federal government from imposing burdensome restrictions on how Americans can invest into their self-directed 401Ks. the "Financial Freedom Act of 2025" would prevent overreaching and burdensome restrictions on investments made in a self-directed 401(k) account and prohibits the Department of Labor from limiting the types of investments that self-directed 401(k) account investors can choose to invest through a brokerage window.
President Donald Trump has signed Executive Orders to revitalize the use of coal as an American energy source. The orders signal an end to the Biden/Obama-era coal moratorium, and directs federal agencies to encourage coal powered development. “President Trump is fulfilling his promise to drive down energy prices, and make America Energy dominant again by revitalizing American coal production,” said RRC Commissioner Wayne Christian.
Get ready for the crazy train, because it’s leaving the station and picking up steam. That’s what Democrats are doing, having fallen so completely out of power. They know they've no argument FOR their policies, so they make arguments AGAINST anything Republicans are trying to do. Simply saying “no” means they absolve themselves of responsibility, which only really flies with people you obey without question. Capitol Hill Democrats have chosen to die on men playing in women’s sports.
Early last week I had the privilege of hosting Larry Calhoun from the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative for a conversation with Small Business Stakeholders from TX-17. This timely discussion came just days ahead of President Trump's reciprocal tariffs announcement, and provided a valuable opportunity for local businesses to gain some insights into what’s ahead. It’s critical our best Job Creators & Entrepreneurs are part of the conversation.
There isn’t one single Democrat who's spoken out in favor of deporting illegal aliens – let alone criminal illegal aliens. And not one single Democrat's celebrated any of the theft, fraud, or unaccounted for bureaucrats found by Trump's & Musk's DOGE efforts. Drug dealers? Check. Degenerate fathers? Check. Mentally ill degenerates in general? Give them a “day of visibility”! Illegal aliens? Why, they’re better than actual Americans, Democrats believe. These people are disgusting – and none of this is by accident.
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar is reminding the Lone Star State's business owners that April 15th is the deadline to file Property Tax Renditions with their County Appraisal Districts, and that different deadlines apply for certain regulated property. A rendition allows property owners to record their opinion of their property’s value, and if property was damaged by storm, flood or fire last year, could lower an owners’ final tax bills for 2025. Here's how...
