Working alongside local and federal law enforcement partners, DPS Special Agents assigned to FBI Joint Terrorism Task Forces around the state will gather intelligence and initiate investigations into potential violations of state and federal law. DPS will work to disrupt any group conspiring to engage in criminal activities or seeking to establish or promote a breeding ground for extremist Islamic radicalism that violates Texas law.

This week, Congressman Tony Gonzales’ (TX-23) legislation, the National Strategy for School Security Act, passed in the U.S. House of Representatives. The National Strategy for School Security Act requires the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to develop best practices for schools across the nation to scale and implement to protect students and school faculty from acts of violence. Congressman Gonzales is the Founder and Co-Chair of the Bipartisan School Safety and Security Caucus.

Attorney General Ken Paxton will file an appeal with the Supreme Court of the United States . The new map was passed by the Texas Legislature and signed by Governor Abbott in August, despite attempts by House Democrats to block the process by breaking quorum. Attorney General Paxton will continue to defend Texas’s Big Beautiful Map and the legitimate political considerations that warranted Texas’s redistricting efforts.

Governor Greg Abbott today announced the apprehension of 31 illegal immigrant drivers, mostly licensed out of California, along I-40 last week during a one-day, joint commercial vehicle enforcement (CVE) operation by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and federal law enforcement. A majority of the CDLs presented to DPS CVE troopers by those 31 illegal immigrants were issued out of California. None were issued in Texas.

Connecticut's Democrat supermajority last week rammed through a bill that's a thinly disguised Socialist Wishlist. Cynically couched as a remedy for the "affordable housing crisis," its real purpose is ideological: forcing Connecticut's 169 towns to achieve "economic diversity." Translation: If you've worked hard to own a home in a leafy suburb with quiet streets, you can't live there unless everybody can – including the homeless and those with low incomes.

It's Google's largest investment in any state in the U.S. Gov. Greg Abbott and Alphabet & Google CEO Sundar Pichai have announced a $40 billion investment in Texas as part of Google's "Investing in America" initiative. The investment will boost cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure, with the development of Data Center Facilities, programs to strengthen energy capacity and affordability, and workforce training in the state.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.), and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W. Va.) introduced the Upholding a Secure Postal System (USPS) Act to direct the U.S. Comptroller General to submit a report to Congress on nationwide mail theft trends and the security of postal property. In 2023, Sen. Cruz first introduced this legislation and sent several letters to the USPS demanding answers about mail theft around Galveston, Texas.

“By bringing these key agencies together, we can work collaboratively to ensure child care providers have the support they need so that needy Texas families have access to quality care,” said Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Chairman Joe Esparza after the Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC), the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services (DFPS), the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and TWC completed its inaugural "Quad Agency Child Care Initiative Commission" meeting.

For more than six weeks, Democrats proceeded to hold our country hostage over demands for taxpayer-funded health care for illegal aliens and trillions in wasteful spending. The irony is that, despite all their threats and lies, we are still in the same place with the same deal we had on day one of the shutdown. Democrats gained nothing, Republicans stayed united, and refused to cave to the Democrats’ radical demands.

President Donald Trump said he would bring prices down, and since he became President in January, the inflation rate has fallen. If we go back to the start of COVID-19, we find that much of the recent rise in prices of things you buy today is because of Biden inflation, not Trump inflation. It's important to remember WHY – and a few examples of how – inflation soared to a high of 9% under Joe Biden.
