"There's not a single shred of evidence that links Donald Trump to a single crime. Not a victim, nor a court case links Donald Trump to a crime – and I know the media itself is aware of that. But the more you keep talking about it over and over again, linking Donald Trump to something potentially nefarious, that actually gets the news cycle going." After Democrats released three carefully selected emails out of context, Republicans responded by releasing all 20,000 documents.
Last week the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security released its latest "Border Brief Factsheet" detailing how apprehensions by U.S. Customs & Border Patrol hit have hit half-century record lows for Fiscal Year 2025. After four years of the Biden-Harris Administration's disastrous Open-Border Agenda and reckless catch-and-release policies, the American people are finally seeing a return to Law & Order at our Southern Border.
"Texas is the blueprint for America's future economic success. We're leading America as the headquarters of headquarters, are the No. 1 state for job creation, and have no state income tax. We will ensure the freedom & opportunity that Texas has always offered will remain the beacon that draws people from all over the world to our great state," said Gov. Abbott during his discussion with Texas Association of Business President Glenn Hamer.
Connecticut's Democrat supermajority last week rammed through a bill that's a thinly disguised Socialist Wishlist. Cynically couched as a remedy for the "affordable housing crisis," its real purpose is ideological: forcing Connecticut's 169 towns to achieve "economic diversity." Translation: If you've worked hard to own a home in a leafy suburb with quiet streets, you can't live there unless everybody can – including the homeless and those with low incomes.
It's Google's largest investment in any state in the U.S. Gov. Greg Abbott and Alphabet & Google CEO Sundar Pichai have announced a $40 billion investment in Texas as part of Google's "Investing in America" initiative. The investment will boost cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure, with the development of Data Center Facilities, programs to strengthen energy capacity and affordability, and workforce training in the state.
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.), and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W. Va.) introduced the Upholding a Secure Postal System (USPS) Act to direct the U.S. Comptroller General to submit a report to Congress on nationwide mail theft trends and the security of postal property. In 2023, Sen. Cruz first introduced this legislation and sent several letters to the USPS demanding answers about mail theft around Galveston, Texas.
“By bringing these key agencies together, we can work collaboratively to ensure child care providers have the support they need so that needy Texas families have access to quality care,” said Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Chairman Joe Esparza after the Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC), the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services (DFPS), the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and TWC completed its inaugural "Quad Agency Child Care Initiative Commission" meeting.
For more than six weeks, Democrats proceeded to hold our country hostage over demands for taxpayer-funded health care for illegal aliens and trillions in wasteful spending. The irony is that, despite all their threats and lies, we are still in the same place with the same deal we had on day one of the shutdown. Democrats gained nothing, Republicans stayed united, and refused to cave to the Democrats’ radical demands.
President Donald Trump said he would bring prices down, and since he became President in January, the inflation rate has fallen. If we go back to the start of COVID-19, we find that much of the recent rise in prices of things you buy today is because of Biden inflation, not Trump inflation. It's important to remember WHY – and a few examples of how – inflation soared to a high of 9% under Joe Biden.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced that it has approved the State of Texas’ application and will be granting Class VI Underground Injection Control (UIC) primacy to the state. This approval will give the Railroad Commission of Texas primary enforcement authority for Class VI wells, which are used for the injection of carbon dioxide into deep underground rock formations for permanent storage.
After Democrats forced the longest Government Shutdown in U.S. History, last week Republicans stood firm, rejected Chuck Schumer’s demand for $1.5 trillion in wasteful far-left spending, and reopened the Federal Government. For 43 days, and through close to 15 votes to re-open, Democrats chose to use American Taxpayers as political pawns, "leverage," and drained tens of billions from our U.S. Economy.
Hallelujah, hallelujah – after 43 days of the Schumer Shutdown, the government is not finally open again. 43 days of parks and museums being closed, government services being highly limited, air traffic controllers, TSA agents, and other federal workers not being paid, and flights being delayed and canceled, is finally over after the Democrats decided to end their gigantic temper tantrum.
"You all were helping save America, keeping criminals from crossing into our country. Hats off to you, God bless you and thank you – and now we have the most secure border in the history of the nation," said Border Czar Homan, as he and Gov. Greg Abbott, National Border Patrol Council President Paul Perez, Missouri Gov. Kehoe, Nebraska Gov. Pillen, Tennessee Gov. Lee, and Virginia Gov. Youngkin served meals to thank Texas National Guard & Texas DPS over an early Thanksgiving.
At long last — we finally have an administration that believes America can do Big Things again. It's one that understands "Energy Independence" isn't a myth, a meme, or a climate-cult hallucination. It's a real National Security Priority and an economic necessity. And unlike the previous crowd running the circus in Washington, this administration isn't trying to replace physics with feelings – or swap reliable power for a windmill and a wish to power the future.
U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Chris Coons (D-Del.), members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and their colleagues issued statements following Senate passage of their bipartisan resolution condemning the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for the abduction of Pastor Ezra Jin and other leaders of the Zion Church and calling for their release. Companion legislation was introduced in the House by Rep. Andy Barr (R-Ky.-06).
Governor Greg Abbott announced that an NRG Energy, Inc. (NRG) natural gas facility to be constructed at the existing NRG Cedar Bayou power production complex in Chambers County has been designated as a qualified project under the Texas Jobs, Energy, Technology, and Innovation (JETI) program. The new 721 megawatt (MW) natural gas power plant represents an estimated $936 million in capital investment in Texas.
Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) introduced the Rural Veterans Dental Care Act. This legislation would establish a pilot program to deliver dental care to veterans living in rural areas through mobile delivery methods, such as fully equipped dental vans. This closes a longstanding gap in access to dental care for rural veterans eligible for VA dental benefits by bringing dental services directly to where they live.
