Governor Greg Abbott announced 10 additional Texas counties have been added to President Donald J. Trump’s Major Disaster Declaration following recent flooding across the state. Those counties include Edwards, Guadalupe, Kimble, Lampasas, McCulloch, Menard, Real, Reeves, Schleicher, and Sutton. Governor Abbott continues to take action to provide all necessary resources to local officials as they respond to flooding,

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), joined by Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas), Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), and John Boozman (R-Ark.), introduced the SkyFoundry Act of 2025 to establish a drone production facility, SkyFoundry, at the Red River Army Depot (RRAD) in Texarkana, Texas. This bill will allow RRAD to develop, produce, and field drones for the Department of Defense. Companion legislation was introduced in the House by Rep. Pat Harrigan (R-N.C.-10).

During the three-day event, Texans can purchase a wide range of items tax-free, including most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100. Diapers — both cloth and disposable — are also exempt from sales tax, and certain sanitizers and wipes with a drug facts label are tax-free year-round. The exemption applies whether shoppers buy items in stores, online, by telephone or by mail.

Recently, a large group of black youths began pummeling several white adults in downtown Cincinnati. The original altercation apparently broke out between a black and white male in he-said/he-said fashion. But that dispute soon turned into a virtual free-for-all. Numerous male and female black youths sucker-punched a middle-aged woman and a man. Others continued to kick or body slam the victims, who were sprawled on their backs and seemingly unconscious.

Governor Greg Abbott has directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to activate State Emergency Response Resources ahead of excessive rainfall that could lead to flash flooding in the Panhandle through the end of the week. The National Weather Service says thunderstorms in the Panhandle could lead to flash flooding across Northwest Texas into the weekend. Texans are urged to monitor local forecast information.

U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) introduced the Transparency in Reporting of Adversarial Contributions to Education (TRACE) Act to enhance transparency for parents regarding foreign funding in K-12 schools. The Transparency in Reporting of Adversarial Contributions to Education (TRACE) Act will: Require schools to allow parents the opportunity to review curriculum that has been provided by or purchased with foreign funds.

A new venue, a record number of exhibitors and more than 80 breakout sessions were all part of a new-look package for the more than 1,000 people – including oil and gas and pipeline operators and industry representatives – who attended the Railroad Commission of Texas’ 2025 Regulatory Conference. Guests representing 14 states, including Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas and New Mexico, plus the District of Columbia were also in attendance.

I can imagine the headline here might upset a lot of people – you’re not supposed to call people ugly – but some people are ugly and everyone knows it. What is Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard upset about? What was known to John Brennan, James Clapper, to James Comey and others as well. They reversed the opinions & advice of their own Intelligence Officers regarding what constituted reliably sourced intelligence, and fabricated their own "Russian Collusion Analysis." And then, according to the wishes of Barack Obama, they took the lie to the American Public.

Federal marijuana policy in the U.S. has been broken for more than 50 years. It started in 1970 when a Democrat-controlled Congress passed the "Controlled Substances Act" and established "schedules" classifying drugs based on their potential for abuse and/or medical use. In Texas, lawmakers just overwhelmingly passed legislation to expand the Compassionate Use Program, giving more patients access to cannabis-based treatments.

It's perhaps the most powerful example of Democrats being on the wrong side of an 80-20 issue. It's working against them in increasingly significant ways, and has everyone asking why they would take the position they're taking – while essentially destroying their hopes for any form of rebound in 2026. Some would say it’s rooted in "Trump Derangement Syndrome," but the real reason Democrats hold to their Illegal Immigration position is –  power.

As the U.S. prepares to host several high-profile, mass-spectator events like the Olympics, the FIFA World Cup, and Nationwide Celebrations for our 250th Birthday, our nation has work to do to prevent another terrorism incident like the Boston Bombing. I'll never forget leading the Congressional Investigation into the Boston Marathon Bombing as chairman of the Homeland Security Committee. One of the worst parts was, it could have been prevented.

 Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock recently visited the Texas Bullion Depository (TxBD) to see its operations firsthand and discuss new TxBD services and preparations for legal tender legislation. In 2015, the Texas Legislature passed a law establishing the state-administered depository for precious metals as an official agency under the administration of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, operated by a private entity without any use of taxpayer dollars.

It's being described by the media as an "autopsy" – an examination by Democrats as to why they lost the Presidential Election & Congressional Majority. By choosing such a word, the media and their fellow Democrats appear to believe the party is dead – but since "The Left" doesn't really believe in a Resurrection, what are they to do to re-take the presidency and Congress? After an autopsy, the body is usually buried.
