Props to President Donald Trump for nominating combat arms officer Pete Hegseth, a leader who embodies the motto of the Army Infantry School – “Follow me!” While the nomination stunned me at first, upon further reflection, its genius became clear. Trump isn’t bringing Hegseth, a decorated Infantry major, into the Pentagon to don green eye shades and manage every element of the military behemoth. Texas’ labor market achieved a new record high in October for number of people in the civilian labor force. After adding 47,300 people over the month, the seasonally adjusted civilian labor force reached the new record high of 15,497,100. This marks the tenth consecutive month of growth for Texas’ civilian labor force. Over the year, Texas’ civilian labor force has added 360,800 people.

Greg Abbott earlier today, announcing the first Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund (TSIF) grant of $4,120,000 to Intelligent Epitaxy Technology, Inc. (“IntelliEPI”) for their new 30,000-square-foot wafer production facility in Allen, Texas. The plant is expected to involve over $41 million in capital investment, and nearly triple the company’s annual production.
