Today the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) hosted the first meeting of the Texas Quad Agency Child Care Initiative (Quad Agency) Commission. The Quad Agency was established by the 89th Texas Legislature to enhance child care access, affordability, and quality by improving coordination among state agencies. Participating agencies include TWC, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), and the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

President Donald Trump said he would bring prices down; that hasn't happened. His tariffs have nudged up prices on certain products like coffee and cars. But since Trump came into office in January, the inflation rate has fallen. If we go back to the start of COVID-19, we find that much of the rise in prices of everything you buy is because of Biden inflation, not Trump inflation. It's important to remember WHY inflation soared to a high of 9% under Biden.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced that it has approved the State of Texas’ application and will be granting Class VI Underground Injection Control (UIC) primacy to the state. This approval will give the Railroad Commission of Texas primary enforcement authority for Class VI wells, which are used for the injection of carbon dioxide into deep underground rock formations for permanent storage.

After Democrats forced the longest Government Shutdown in U.S. History, last week Republicans stood firm, rejected Chuck Schumer’s demand for $1.5 trillion in wasteful far-left spending, and reopened the Federal Government. For 43 days, and through close to 15 votes to re-open, Democrats chose to use American Taxpayers as political pawns, "leverage," and drained tens of billions from our U.S. Economy.

Hallelujah, hallelujah – after 43 days of the Schumer Shutdown, the government is not finally open again. 43 days of parks and museums being closed, government services being highly limited, air traffic controllers, TSA agents, and other federal workers not being paid, and flights being delayed and canceled, is finally over after the Democrats decided to end their gigantic temper tantrum.

Hats off to you, God bless you and thank you – and now we have the most secure border in the history of the nation," said Border Czar Homan, as he and Gov. Greg Abbott, National Border Patrol Council President Paul Perez, Missouri Gov. Kehoe, Nebraska Gov. Pillen, Tennessee Gov. Lee, and Virginia Gov. Youngkin served meals to thank Texas National Guard & Texas DPS over an early Thanksgiving. 

At long last — we finally have an administration that believes America can do Big Things again. It's one that understands "Energy Independence" isn't a myth, a meme, or a climate-cult hallucination. It's a real National Security Priority and an economic necessity. And unlike the previous crowd running the circus in Washington, this administration isn't trying to replace physics with feelings – or swap reliable power for a windmill and a wish to power the future.

U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Chris Coons (D-Del.), members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and their colleagues issued statements following Senate passage of their bipartisan resolution condemning the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for the abduction of Pastor Ezra Jin and other leaders of the Zion Church and calling for their release. Companion legislation was introduced in the House by Rep. Andy Barr (R-Ky.-06).

Governor Greg Abbott announced that an NRG Energy, Inc. (NRG) natural gas facility to be constructed at the existing NRG Cedar Bayou power production complex in Chambers County has been designated as a qualified project under the Texas Jobs, Energy, Technology, and Innovation (JETI) program. The new 721 megawatt (MW) natural gas power plant represents an estimated $936 million in capital investment in Texas.

Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) introduced the Rural Veterans Dental Care Act. This legislation would establish a pilot program to deliver dental care to veterans living in rural areas through mobile delivery methods, such as fully equipped dental vans. This closes a longstanding gap in access to dental care for rural veterans eligible for VA dental benefits by bringing dental services directly to where they live.

Well, that didn’t take long. Democrats won some liberal state races during the off-year elections one week – BUT, then less than a week later the Congressional Dems in the U.S. Senate completely collapsed on the shutdown under Chuck Schumer's "leadership." And I mean completely collapsed. It was an utter defeat and a huge humiliation – and a Democrat Civil War broke out afterward to boot.

With another financial exchange coming to Texas, Nasdaq Texas cements our state as a global economic leader and will grow our leading financial industries," said Gov. Greg Abbott while announcing that the Nasdaq Texas location will be aimed at expanding services all across the state. Texas now has the largest financial services workforce in the United States.

This is a step in the right direction — and is critical to Military and VA projects in our District, as well as USDA priorities that will receive full-year funding,” said Cong. Tony Gonzales after voting to reopen the Federal Government in the U.S. House of Representatives. 

When a School District in Texas begins to decline or fail to maintain a standard of Hope & Inspiration, students from the brightest to its most vulnerable suffer and are impacted. In public education, the measure of success isn’t found in Slogans or Strategic Plans, but in how a district treats its students at the margins – the children who need the most help, and those who need the most challenge. By that standard, Leander ISD is failing both.

Affordability. It's all of a sudden the word that's on everybody's lips. Ever since self-described Socialist-Democrat Zohran Mamdani became the frontrunner in the New York City mayoral election by saying the word with talismanic regularity, we've been told that the key to modern politics is the word's repetition. There is in the end, however, only one way to make things more "affordable". And there are only two ways to reduce prices: reduce demand, or increase supply.

By definition – and by all procedural realities – the side that votes not to keep government open is the one that is "shutting down" government. This is not complicated. On the other hand, a vote to fund and keep government operating is, yes, a vote to fund and keep government "open." Every Republican in the House & Senate voted to "keep government open." The votes against the funding all came from Democrats. So now that the government shutdown's almost over, can we stop pretending it was a Republican shutdown?

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement about Senate passage of the House version of the Monetary Enhancement for Distinguished Active Legends (MEDAL) Act, legislation which he drafted and will now pass into law. The act was unanimously passed by the Senate had previously been passed unanimously by the U.S. House of Representatives It will increase the monthly pension for living Medal of Honor recipients to $67,500 annually.
