During the roundtable, Governor Abbott and Secretary Kennedy discussed the Rural Healthcare Transformation Program and how the state can continue improving rural health outcomes for Texans. The Governor highlighted the Make Texas Healthy Again package that he signed into the law the day prior, putting Texans on a pathway to make better-informed health and nutrition decisions.
“Since I was Chair of the Senate Education Committee 13 years ago, I've been a leader on Public Education Reform, and it was then that I began the journey to reduce the burdensome STAAR Test. I've also led on creating a School Grading System so parents can know how their kids’ schools were educating them. We gave the schools an A through F Report Card, just like students receive," said Patrick.
After its economy was in literal rubbles after World War 2, Germany had a miraculous comeback in the ‘50s, 60’s and 70’s and became the economic powerhouse of Europe again. The great economic historian, Mancur Olson, wrote an award-winning book called “The Rise and Decline of Nations,” which explained that Germany’s economy was so destroyed they did not have a welfare state and politically powerful unions to contend with as most European nations and Britain did.
Last year, Commissioner Christian convened the Lone Star Growth Summit with state agencies and industry leaders to examine Texas’ long-term infrastructure needs. With the population expected to nearly double to 54 million by 2050, Christian stressed the importance of building pipelines, power generation, refining, and water projects to keep pace with growth. "We need more of them—both energy and water—to meet the needs of a rapidly growing Texas.”
Supposedly, the tiresome comedy stylings of Gavin Newsom – he’s the equivalent of a Wednesday night prop comic opener down at the Gooberville Giggle Works – have thrust him into the forefront of the Democrat race for the 2028 nomination. What a sad and pathetic state of affairs that is. He’s trying to claim the Fighter Lane. You see, he fights by hiring a couple of they/them mediocrities to run his social media account, pumping out an endless series of tweets that are nearly as funny as leprosy.

“The Texas Senate is committed to increasing medical freedom and ensuring Texans have access to the medical drugs they need. Senators Donna Campbell & Charles Schwertner, both medical doctors, spoke in favor of this legislation on the floor, and the COVID-19 pandemic has emphasized the need for increased medical freedom in Texas,” said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick.
As the FBI is investigating the shooting both as an act of domestic terrorism and as a hate crime targeting Catholics, according to the Dept. of Homeland Security the shooter was a "man, claiming to be transgender" who had "scrawled the words ‘For the Children’ and ‘Where is your God?’ and ‘Kill Donald Trump’ on a rifle magazine." Congressman Byron Donalds said the following.
International Leadership of Texas, the free public K-12 charter school, is proud to share that five of our high school Marine Corps JROTC (MJROTC) have earned the prestigious Naval Honor School recognition, which recognizes the top 20% programs in the nation. The MCJROTC program mission is to develop courageous, character driven young adults who possess the attributes of personal responsibility and accountability in order to become model citizens in service to the United States.
A crowd gathered around New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani on Saturday as he lay on his back, struggling to bench press 135 pounds as part of the annual Men's Day event in Brooklyn. New York City Mayor Eric Adams derided him as "Mamscrawny," but almost no one else seemed to care. Weightlifting isn't a requirement for being mayor. Fighting crime is. That's Mamdani's vulnerability -- and the reason this race is far from over.
Governor Greg Abbott today joined the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country to announce over $40 million in funding to support long-term housing relief following the July 4th floods in Kerrville. He was joined by Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country CEO Austin Dickson, Hunt Independent School District Superintendent Luci Harmon, and other federal, state, and local officials, as well as business, community, and nonprofit leaders.
The Black Mayors of our nation's largest cities don't seem to want to "Make Black Lives Matter." If the Mayor of Chicago & the Governor of Illinois really wanted to make the Windy City & "the Land of Lincoln" great again, they'd embrace a "Tough-on-Crime" strategy. Crime repels employers and higher-income families, and leads to lower rates of employment. The relationship is significant.
This Project of Special Merit aimed to manage, monitor, and restore Rookery Island habitats. CBBEP performed debris removal, treatment for fire ants and invasive species, repairs to nest platforms, and informational sign monitoring on 130 active waterbird colonies to enhance nesting habitats and decrease nest failure or abandonment. Over four years, CBBEP observed 22 distinct species of waterbirds using rookery islands.
Democrats have also shown a knack for getting on the unpopular side of a number of issues, like the border and crime. They're also deeply divided on Israel and Gaza. And they're in a terrible money crunch; at the end of June, the Democratic National Committee reported about $15 million cash-on-hand, compared to $80 million reported by the Republican National Committee.
“For a party that spends billions of dollars trying to find the perfect language to connect to voters, Democrats use an awful lot of words and phrases no ordinary person would ever dream of saying,” said 3rd Way’s Matt Bennett in a memo. "We're doing our best to get them to talk like normal people," his memo said – before dividing 45 (ubiquitous) words & phrases that make Democrats sound like ninnies into six categories.
With blue-collar wage growth now showing its largest increase in nearly 60 years under Donald Trump, the Democrat Party has seen a significant nationwide decline in Voter Registrations from 2020 to 2024 – including in all seven "Swing States" that decided the 2024 Election. Even more concerning for Democrats, the trend's continued in 2025 in the states considered to be majority "blue collar" regions.
For far too long, Washington, D.C.'s justice system has failed to hold violent criminals accountable. That ends now. President Donald Trump is restoring Law & Order in our Nation's Capital, which should and will be the crown jewel of our country. It represents the American people, our patriotism, and the nation's ideals. Under President Trump, Washington, D.C. will no longer be a safe haven for crime.
Not so long ago, the streets of Washington, D.C. near the Capitol, along the Smithsonian Mall & all the monument buildings were clean, safe and glorious. But from the early stages of Donald Trump’s first term – as the nation's Democrat's went "Defund the Police" and no-cash bail and let criminals lose instead of prosecuting them – the whole country has noticed how unsafe our Nation’s Capital has become. Today, it’s gone full-blown dangerous.
