52% of Americans Don’t Believe Biden Cares About People Like Them, 53% Say He's Incapable of Leading Country

A substantial 61% majority of Americans don’t want Biden to run for Re-Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) — A recent Politico/Morning Consult Poll shows that a majority – 53% of Americans – don’t feel Biden is capable of leading the country, and 48% disagree with the idea that he is mentally fit.

  • 52% of those polled don’t even think Joe Biden cares about people like them.
  • Only 40% of voters surveyed agreed with the statement that Biden “is in good health,” while
  • 50% disagreed.
That 10% gap – well outside the poll’s margin of error – represents a massive 29% shift since October 2020, when Morning Consult last surveyed the question and found voters believed Biden was in good health by a 19% margin.
The new polling comes amid persistent and growing questions about whether Biden – who turns 79 on Saturday – will run for reelection in three years, and as Democrats have grown increasingly concerned with the party being run by leaders who are significantly older than most of the country's adult population.
And, in another recent survey conducted by Hill-HarrisX, a substantial majority of Americans – 61% – don’t want Biden to run for re-election.

  • A majority of voters in that Nov. 9th-10th survey said that instead of running for re-election in 2024, Biden should make way for someone else.
  • By contrast, just 24% of respondents said Biden should run for president again, while
  • 15% they were unsure.
Perhaps most surprisingly, even among Democrats:

  • 37% of Democrats said Biden should move aside for someone else
  • 45% said they want Biden to run again, and
  • 8% said they were unsure
59% of independents said Biden, who would be 81 in 2024, should make way for another presidential candidate in 2024.

The poll also found that:

  • 46% of Registered Voters believe that Biden has done less than expected since entering the White House
  • 23% say they think he's done more than expected, and
  • 31% say he has done about as much as expected
Conducted just days after Democrats performed underwhelmingly at numerous state and local elections across the country. the Nov. 9th-10th Hill-HarrisX Poll was conducted online among 921 registered voters, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2%.
