Pelosi: It is Accurate to Say I Want to Roll Back Trumps Republican Tax Cuts

Pelosis dark cloud comments differ from those of workers receiving welcome cash in their pockets. width=236Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. At a Politico Live event earlier this morning House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi admitted she would like to raise taxes and roll back the Republicans massive tax cut bill that is fueling a nationwide economic expansion leading more than 500 U.S. companies to pass on pay raises bonuses 401(k) retirement plan increases corporate expansions and utility rate reductions to their employees and customers. When asked by Politicos Jake Sherman about a recent National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) ad claiming that she would like to cancel raise taxes I think they mean roll back the tax cuts that they passed. What do you think of that?" House Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi responded saying

I do think that we should revisit tax legislation in a way we always have in a bipartisan transparent way that the result is unifying for the country. I do object to what they did in the dark of night and speed of light."

As Minority Leader of the House Democrats Pelosi has drawn criticism for belittling the burgeoning number of tax cut bonuses handed out by employers to millions of employees as crumbs" saying earlier this year
In terms of the bonus that corporate America received versus the crumbs that they are giving to workers to kind of put the schmooze on its so pathetic. I think its insignificant."
Back in 2011 however Pelosi sang a different tune praising a $40 payroll tax cut passed by President Obama as a victory for all Americans" that will make a difference."

The American people spoke out clearly and thanks to President Obamas leadership 160 million Americans will continue to receive their payroll tax cut nearly $40 per paycheck in the pockets of the average family.

width=160I salute the work of the unified House Democratic caucus on behalf of the American people" Pelosi said at the time.

According to Saving.orgs inflation calculator $40 in 2011 dollars is equal to $44.06 in todays dollars. After Republicans passed the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act in December 2017 and it was immediately signed into law by President Trump at least 4000000 U.S. workers (and counting) have received pay raises bonuses retirement plan increases corporate expansions or utility rate reductions from some 500 companies nationwide. While Pelosi has referred to the law as a dark cloud hanging over the Capitol to the workers receiving them its welcome cash in their pockets. Companies such as AT&T have given $1000 bonuses to 200000 employees while at least 60000 workers at Fiat/ Chrysler received bonuses worth up to $2000. One Georgia trucking-company employee who received a $500 bonus said of Mrs. Pelosi on Facebook:

Its crumbs to her because she has no idea what it is like to work paycheck to paycheck.

My company gave everyone $500 paid the taxes on it and I was very grateful for that because they really dont owe us any of it."

width=186Most of these companies point to Trumps sweeping tax cut plan as the impetus which included a lowering the corporate tax from 35 to 21. After Pelosis comments the NRCC released a statement saying it appreciates Pelosis honesty and said it plans to include the line in ads throughout the next six months.
We told you over and over and now youve heard it straight from Nancy Pelosis mouth: If Democrats take back the House and shes reinstalled as Speaker your taxes will go up said NRCC Communications Director Matt Gorman. Rest assured youll be seeing this video repeatedly this fall he added.
