Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – Victory for TX-17! Tuesday night was a great night for us and the victory we accomplished for the Republican Party.
One year ago I announced my candidacy to represent this district which includes Waco, Texas, my hometown. Tuesday was the culmination of the hard work by countless volunteers, staff, and supporters over the past year.
Our goal was to also increase Republican voter turnout by 10% to support President Trump and our Republican ticket.
- We exceeded that goal by increasing Republican turnout by 22,000 more votes than 2016 which is a gain of 15%.
- We won with a convincing 15% margin after over 300,000 ballots were cast.
- TX-17 increased Republican turnout from 149,000+ in 2016 to 171,000+ in 2020.
- In Texas, we held all the competitive seats targeted by the Democrats and delivered strong results for President Trump.
With the results of the Presidential race still unclear and in question, President Trump needs us all to continue our support. We must ensure President Trump is re-elected for another four years so we can continue to make America great.
Both President Trump and myself are committed to continued economic growth, preserving our Second Amendment and the right to bear arms, protecting and securing our border, and always standing for the sanctity of life.
I will work tirelessly to effectively represent the needs of those who live in Central Texas. In our District, you should expect to see me often. While the campaign has now concluded, the hard work is ahead and it will be my privilege to represent and to serve you.
