Says Authentic Conservative Leadership needed
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Once we leave this press conference today we wont stop working until we win (the Republican Primary race) next spring. Today begins roughly 18 months of hard work said State Senator and conservative Tea Party Caucus Founder Dan Patrick making the anticipated official hes running for Lieutenant Governor.
Over the past months my main focus has been my job as Senator ... so Ive had very little time to spend on the issues unique to building a campaign. But in the time we have spent and in the people we have called weve had less than a handful say anything less than Im with you 100.
I think the people of Texas sense that its time for change and 2014s going to be a 
change election ... I believe we need authentic conservative leadership in the position of Lieutenant Governor because like everyone often says its the most powerful position in the state of Texas and I think that depends on who holds the position.
