U.S.-Mexico Border Deaths Lower Under Trump Than Obama Border Patrol Data Shows

471 deaths during Obama presidency in 2012 is 2nd Highest number in last 20 years

WASHINGTON D.C. (Texas Insider Report) After several migrants died recently trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico Border the media and various Democrat Party leaders have said President Trump should be attacked" for his administrations policies. But U.S. Border Patrol data shows that some of the highest number of deaths on the border during the past two decades actually occurred under former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush.

During President Obamas two-term presidency from 2008 to 2016 border deaths ranged from 251 to 471 each year. The 471 deaths occurred in 2012 and represent the second highest number of border deaths in the last 20 years.

But according to U.S. Border Patrol figures during the first two years of the Trump presidency border deaths have actually decreased.

In 2017 border deaths fell from 329 to 298 and dropped again to 283 in 2018 Border Patrol data show.

While the mainstream media and virtually every Democrat Party leader has blamed President Trump for the recent deaths the migrant family was warned of the dangers of attempting to cross the Rio Grande especially with children. They decided to proceed anyway the Associated Press reported Thursday.

That fact however has not stopped former Vice President Joe Biden who served under President Obama and is vying for the Democrat Partys nomination to run for President in 2020 or other leading Democrats from blaming President Trump for the deaths.

Biden was noticeably silent as Obamas vice president when hundreds of border deaths occurred under the Obama Administration of which he was a major part for eight years.

Biden recently tweeted a photo of two of latest two migrant deaths saying The cruelty were seeing at our border is unconscionable. History will judge how we respond to the Trump Administrations treatment of immigrant families & children we cant be silent. This isnt who we are."

Said President Trump of the deaths

I hate it. I know it could stop immediately if the Democrats change the law. They have to change the laws. And then that father who probably was this wonderful guy with his daughter things like that wouldnt happen" the Associated Press reported last Thursday.

Breitbart News compiled and published a list of 20 reports on deaths at the southern border during Obamas presidency. Many of the reports included multiple deaths.

During the Obama-Biden Administration 535 migrants died in one Texas county alone Brooks County" Breitbart said.

While a media firestorm has surrounded President Donald Trump for his U.S.-Mexico Border and immigration policies most news reports fail to mention that the number of deaths on the southwest border were actually higher under former President Barack Obama.
