Babin Votes to Secure U.S. Borders and Support Israel, Tawain

“While I am deeply sympathetic to the Ukrainian people fighting Russian aggression, we have already provided more assistance than any other nation in the world."

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) issued the following statement on the bills that were voted on in the House earlier today. These bills included the End the Border Catastrophe Act of 2024 (H.R. 3602), 21st Century Peace through Strength Act of 2024 (H.R. 8038), Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2024 (H.R. 8036), Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2024 (H.R. 8034), and Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2024 (H.R. 8035).

“Today, I voted to secure our borders, defeat Middle Eastern terrorists, and combat Communist China,” said Babin.

“The bill that progressive open-border Democrats opposed today would have helped secure our sovereignty, but sadly, this continues to be absent from the Left’s list of priorities. Until liberals get on board with safeguarding our own security, I will not continue to blindly fund Ukraine’s.

“Keeping Taiwan out of China’s hands keeps communists at bay while protecting our supply chain – shielding the American taxpayer and our national economy. Combatting Iran and supporting Israel helps prevent the next 9/11 while mitigating radical Islamic terror in the region.

“While I am deeply sympathetic to the Ukrainian people fighting Russian aggression, we have already provided more assistance than any other nation in the world. Our own country is bleeding out thanks to Joe Biden’s border crisis; I cannot vote to fund this long-term engagement while Democrats ignore the dire situation in our own backyard.”
