Texas Boat Dealers to Present Award
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – (HOUSTON) – The Boating Trades Association of Texas (BTAT) and Boating Trades Association of Metropolitan Houston (BTAMH) will present the 2013 Lone Star Awards for Legislative Excellence to State Representative Dan Flynn (R-Van) and State Senator John Carona (R-Dallas) for their legislative efforts on behalf of Texas recreational boating during the 83nd Legislative Session.
Rep. Flynn and Sen. Carona have long championed the enhancement of outdoor recreation and public enjoyment of Texas’ vast natural resources. This session they were particularly effective in the sponsorship and passage of legislation modernizing the sale and financing of recreational boats. The legislation improves business transparency, customer convenience, and consumer protection. The awards will be presented on December 11 at the BTAMH’s annual banquet in Houston.
