Atheists Threaten Nativity Scene
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas An estimated 5000 supporters attended a Saturday December 17th Athens Texas Nativity Rally featuring inspiring speeches and more.
The crowd was a mixture of Tea Party members from as far away as Oklahoma Louisiana Amarillo and Corpus Christi as well as other conservative & religious groups.
A tiny group of Henderson County residents
want to force the County Commissioners and the County Judge to remove the nativity scene from the Court House Square in Athens Texas. A national organization which calls itself Freedom from Religion is backing the Atheists in Henderson County.
Supporters came in cars trucks motorcycles and even horse back. And the message was clear said one of the organizers Mell Moss.
Enough is enough. Stand up restore our religious freedoms and the foundations in which our nation was built upon said Moss.
Inspiring messages that were delivered from the Court House Steps of Athens Texas Moss said.
