President Obama has set America on a collision course for economic decline. Under his administration the liberal democrat Congress along with a few Republicans have foolishly voted for the following enormous tax and spend bills: $787 billion for the Stimulus package $410 billion for the Omnibus Spending bill and $3.55 trillion for the 2010 budget. Not including interest the 4.7 trillion grand total of this taxing and spending spree will break your childrens and grandchildrens piggy bank.
To put Obamas budget into perspective ALL the national debt that has accumulated from George Washington to George Bush will be doubled in the next five years and tripled in the next 10 years. Think of this as Obamas chains we can believe in."
An estimated one million Americans shouting U-S-A U-S-A U-S-A" pledging Allegiance to the American flag and carrying signs protesting the big spending and big taxing Obama administration attended TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Parties in 2000 cities across America on April 15th income tax day.
Democrats Republicans and Independents representing a diverse cross-section of Americans attended these tea parties. They carried signs that expressed the sentiments of a majority of Americans. The slogans are worth repeating because they convey the frustration with our corrupt self-serving politicians. While among the 15000 patriots attending the San Antonio Tea Party I observed the following signs being enthusiastically waived:
Im not your ATM!"
We work hard so you dont have to!"
Free markets not free loaders!"
Cut taxes not deals!"
My piggy bank is not your pork barrel!"
DC District of Corruption!"
My favorite sign was Economics for Dummies in Congress spend less than you collect." Sounds like a great course for Obama and the Congress to sign up for. In fact according to the Heritage Foundation the Obama budget has a provision for a pay as you go" law but ironically his budget over spends by a compliance shattering 3.4 trillion dollars.
The tea parties were promoted by a non-profit group FreedomWorks but the real momentum came from we the people" via online communication and was boosted during the days before the rally from reporting on Fox News. This new movement is ready to take America back from the runaway Congress lobbyists and foreign influences. The District of Corruption crowd should take notice because this movement has legs. Otherwise they may find themselves voted out of office.
According to the Tax Foundation when the 1.5 trillion dollar budget deficit is added with the total taxes collected it will take the average American worker until May 29th of this year to pay their taxes. This is outrageous! Maybe youre fed up too because:
Youre paying your neighbors mortgage when you cant afford to pay the taxes on your home.
Youre paying your neighbors grocery bill when youre cutting back yourself.
Youre paying for illegal immigrants medical bills when you cant afford insurance yourself.
Youre paying for illegal immigrants education when you cant afford to send your children to college.
Youre paying your taxes but the elitist politicians are not paying theirs.
