A Taxing Situation and Early Thanksgiving Message

By Congressman Randy /Neugebauer Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas If youre keeping count there are only 39 days until the New Year and the LARGEST tax hike in American history.  An after last weeks first week of the Lame Duck session Speaker Pelosis Congress is no closer to preventing these job-killing tax hikes for every taxpayer. If this November has made anything clear to the Democrats in Congress its that the American people want a trimmed down government that taxes less and significantly reduces spending in Washington.     Letting the estate tax return to 55 cutting the child tax credit in half and letting several other tax provisions expire at the end of the year is a tax increase our economy cannot handle. What I know and what the American people know is that raising taxes during the worst economy in decades will kill even more jobs and lead to greater uncertainty for small businesses looking to expand.  As December 31st approaches along with this massive $3.9 trillion tax hike I will continue to fight to make the tax cuts permanent for everyone by promoting my bill the Taxpayer Certainty Act.  width=157A Thanksgiving Message As we gather together over the Thanksgiving holiday I hope that you will take the time to remember the things you are thankful for and express your gratitude to loved ones.  In todays ever changing world families are the strong support system our children rely on to become responsible and productive members of the community. A strong America relies on strong families. As families and friends come together this week we should also remember those who are not able to join their loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the men and women in our Armed Forces serving far away from home. We are thankful for the sacrifices both you and your families have made on behalf of our great country and pray for your safe return. Thanksgiving is also a reminder of the agricultural bounty of this nation. We have been blessed with fertile land and dedicated farmers and producers who bring forth a great harvest each year. It is important to remember those who have brought the food we will enjoy this week to our tables. It is my sincere honor to represent the people of the 19th District in Congress. I am thankful for this opportunity and pledge to you to continue diligently serving you. May God continue to bless our country and our families this Thanksgiving season.
