width=95width=55Denver Colorado--Senator John McCain to meet with Hispanic Veterans at the American GI Forum National 2008 Conference. The American GI Forum is celebrating it’s 60th National  Conference in Denver Colorado the 22-26th of July at the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel.

The American GI Forum is a national Hispanic Veterans organization that advocates for Veterans rights with chapters located throughout the nation. The GI Forum was recently in the forefront nationally when they confronted PBS and the Ken Burns World War II documentary which had left out the Hispanic and Native American Combat stories. Because of their history and support from the community political leaders and corporate support the American GI Forum was able to identify and include the Hispanics and Native American stories that were later edited into the PBSWWII documentary.

Because of their history and leadership for Veterans rights presidential hopeful Senator John McCain is set to speak to the organization at lunch on July 25th at the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel.

The American GI Forum will have two days of workshops sponsored by the Veterans Administration. The workshops will be covering PTSD Housing Employment and business enterprise. Private sector businesses are also joining the endeavor to support Veterans. The National Hispanic Business Information Clearinghouse will be providing the latest business technologies to support the Veterans after they return.

Senator Obama was sent an invitation and it was communicated that Senator Obama will be out of the country during the American GI Forum Conference
