Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Listen very carefully to Newt Gingrich when he is talking. Like the Music Man" he is a very smooth talker and he is peddling something which is not good for America.
It is likely that his plan for illegal immigration would eventually provide amnesty to most illegal aliens.
Politicians say one thing in the primary election until they get the partys nomination. Then many times it is a different story in the general election because they are courting a different electorate there.
First he would say he only wants to offer amnesty to those who have been here in the USA for twenty-five years. He would say it is not really amnesty because they would not be allowed to become voting citizens if they came here illegally. If he were somehow able to get that through Congress the liberal court judges will strike that provision down. Gingrich knows the courts would not allow second-class citizenship to exist in the USA.
Even though Bill Clinton and many liberals are endorsing Gingrichs plan in the end the liberals would scream That is slavery!" I am not even sure citizenship" without the right to vote would be Constitutional.
Gingrich said How can a person be so cruel to send someone back to his or her home country when they have been in the USA attending church and living a productive life for decades?" A decade is ten years so he would really be talking about amnesty for those who have been in the USA for ten or twenty years not twenty-five.
He would keep this up until he finally got around to providing amnesty to all illegal aliens who have been in the USA a year. Then millions more illegal aliens would sneak into the country because they would know the elected officials and the judges in the USA do not enforce the Immigration laws.
There are some legal immigrants in the USA working in professional jobs providing essential services and paying taxes that have applied for citizenship and have been waiting more than ten years for their citizenship papers. What is fair about
extending automatic citizenship to illegal aliens who have not even applied for citizenship who have not learned the language of America and who have not tried to assimilate into the communities?
It is pretty hard for them to assimilate when they dont want to learn English. They want Americans to translate everything for them better yet They want Americans to learn their language so they wont have to learn English the language of the USA!!!!!!!!!!!
Too many of the people who would receive automatic citizenship under Gingrichs plan are angry rebellious people who hate Americans. Some of them have formed gangs and they are a danger to the communities. Some are terrorists hiding out in the Sanctuary Cities. Some of them feel Americans owe them something because they feel Americans stole their land from them. Some of them feel this is not our land but theirs. They want to take it back.
If we had a nationwide E Verify program for all workers part of the illegal alien problem would disappear in a very short time because without being able to take American jobs away from Americans many illegal aliens would be forced to go home.
Then if Congress passed a law saying no one except American citizens could receive any form of welfare except emergency hospital care more of the illegal aliens would go home. (No more prenatal care just emergency hospital care) Gingrich evidently doesnt realize that the ability to take jobs and benefits away from Americans who need the jobs and benefits is the MAGNET that is bringing most of the illegal aliens to the USA.
We do not need red cards and green cards because we do not need to import workers. The argument that Americans would not do the work illegal aliens are willing to do is a myth in most cases.
Americans would work if jobs are available because Congress should pass a law which states there would be no welfare for able-bodied Americans not willing to work. But we have so many Americans who need jobs but cannot find work. That is the most
pressing reason American officials MUST enforce the illegal alien laws.
This plan which Newt Gingrich is proposing is a TROJAN HORSE. Newt was in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens when the Reagan administration made the costly mistake of giving amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.
Ronald Reagan thought he was doing the humanitarian thing. But we have the benefit of learning from Ronald Reagans mistake since we know that providing amnesty to millions of illegal aliens only brings millions more illegal aliens to the country.
We should NOT make the same mistake again.
