Fighting for Fiscal Responsibility
Texas Insider Report: Washington D.C. With our economy on the ropes the most important thing the federal government can do is get out of the way so we can create an environment that encourages private-sector job creation said Congressman Joe Barton (R-Ennis/Arlington) following Thursdays Tea Party Rally near the Nations Capitol. Barton lent his voice in supporting those who showed up to fight for fiscal responsibility.
Businesses will not have the confidence to grow and hire new workers unless they truly believe Washington is finally ready to get its fiscal house in order.
Cutting spending will help create jobs and grow the economy in the short and long term. The more the government borrows spends and regulates the harder it is for businesses to access capital grow and create jobs.
But cutting spending is only part of the equation; we also need to cut unnecessary burdensome regulations like the green house gas measures being pushed by the EPA. They often cost the economy billions with little or no

economic benefit" Barton said.
I stand with the Tea Party and I share your principles. Instead of dismissing you as extremists its time for the Democrats to listen to your voices and pay attention to your ideas. Harry Reid and the President need to stop playing politics and focus on the future.
I didnt vote for the last continuing resolution and I wont vote for any budget item that doesnt put our nations on a road that balances the budget and reduces the deficit" said Barton.
