Parker Aerospace Rallies Metroplex Support of NewGen Tanker

U.S. Representatives Kay Granger (R-Tex.)and Joe Barton (R-Tex) were on hand for the rally.
From the beginning of this process it has been clear to me that Boeings aircraft presents the best choice in terms of operational standards flexibility fuel efficiency performance footprint and just about any other standard one might apply" said Texas Governor Rick Perry in a written communication.
More than 400 employees elected officials local leaders and other guests of Parker Aerospace rallied at the companys Stratoflex Products Division headquarters facility in Ft. Worth Tex. last week to support Boeings NewGen Tanker.

The new tanker program is key to sustaining long-term jobs on Texas and across the nation for Parker and its many suppliers" said Barker.
If Boeing is awarded the contract for the KC-X program Parker Aerospace will supply fluid conveyance and control applications for the NewGen Tanker supporting more than 500 long-term skilled jobs at the companys three facilities in Texas as well as at their 242 suppliers.
Parker Aerospace products on the NewGen Tanker will also be manufactured at facilities in California Georgia Michigan New York Ohio and Utah.

Aerospace Aviation and Defense in the Office of the Governor also addressed the attendees speaking on behalf of Texas Governor Rick Perry who sent a letter of support for the rally.
Mark DeVoss director Supplier Management Tanker Programs Boeing Defense Space & Security said Boeing was proud to be working with Parker Aerospace on the NewGen offering.
For nearly 70 years our two companies have worked together to satisfy this nations defense and commercial requirements" said DeVoss (below far right).
The Boeing Aerial Refueling Technology trailer (BART) was also on hand along with its on-board flight deck and refueling simulators. Employees and other attendees took the opportunity to grab the yoke and test out the
advanced technologies that their aircraft components would help put in the sky.
Throughout the next few months U.S. suppliers will continue to hold rallies across the country to highlight the capabilities and cost-effectiveness of the Boeing tanker.
