Dallas TX – Wednesday December 19 2007 – Today Bill Keffer filed more than 600 signatures from House District 107 voters who support him as the Republican nominee for the 2008 election. His campaign to recapture the 107th has been enthusiastically received by grassroots Republicans and community activists throughout the district. Keffer also announced a fundraising event slated for early February with former Texas Congressman and House Majority Leader Dick Armey.“All across this district people are telling me they want to see major changes in our state government. From how we handle illegal immigration to reigning in the state budget folks want a representative who will make progress not empty promises” said Keffer. “This district expects their representative to be a leader on conservative issues and I’m thankful so many voters are supporting our campaign to change things in Austin.”
“Our campaign is being powered by regular folks who are ready to make an extraordinary effort to win this seat from Democrat Allen Vaught and his wealthy trial-lawyer financiers” Keffer added. “We are looking forward to speaking with every voter about the real leadership necessary to get Texas on track to secure our borders restore fiscal responsibility protect doctors from abusive lawsuits and reform a tax structure that isn’t serving the people.”
Fundraising Event with Former Majority Leader Dick Armey
In order to compete with the hundreds of thousands of dollars trial lawyers are expected to pile into Allen Vaught’s coffers for 2008 Keffer is being aided by former Majority Leader at a pre-primary event to be held in early February.

Bill Keffer grew up in Dallas County. He has been active in local politics for more than twenty-five years and has actively promoted common-sense conservative values to empower the families neighborhoods and businesses of Texas. Bill served the people of House District 107 as their State Representative from 2003-2006 and distinguished himself as an independent voice for limited government lower taxes and fiscal responsibility. Bill and Liz have been married for twenty-two years and live in Lake Highlands with their three children.
