Texas Insider Report: DALLAS Texas Were working every day and enjoying great response because we have
the message voters want to hear - protect taxpayers and rein in government spending said State Rep. candidate Bill Keffer who has been working tirelessly to close the deal in the July 31st Run-Off Election since nearly winning the May 29 Republican Primary outright with 47.5 of the vote.
A former State Representative known for his out-spoken conservative leanings Keffer is running in House District 114.
Early voting in the run-off begins next week.
HD 114 is the district represented by retiring Representative Will Hartnett for the past 22 years. The newly-redrawn district consists of the Lake Highlands community in Northeast Dallas as well as most of North Dallas where Keffer and his brother Representative Jim Keffer grew up in the 1960s and 1970s.
Keffer has lived and raised his family in the Lake Highlands community for the past 20 years.
My voting record from my previous service is the single-best confirmation that I will serve in office as I promise on the campaign trail Keffer said. But the key is making sure that North Dallas voters know what that record is.
While voters in the Lake Highlands area know Keffer from his previous two terms representing HD 107 in the Texas House from 2003-2006 North Dallas is new territory for Keffer. As a result he has been concentrating much of his campaigns effort toward getting information to North Dallas

voters about his conservative philosophy.
Keffer and his volunteers have already contacted every Republican Primary-voting household in one or more ways including block-walking neighbor-to-neighbor postcards phone-calling organizational meetings and direct mailings.
Since the May 29 Primary
Keffer and his volunteers have been out in force walking neighborhoods meeting with voters and distributing literature to make sure as many voters a possible have information about him where he stands on the issues and his grassroots campaign.
The unusual election calendar this year caused by the redistricting litigation has contributed to more confusion than normal for many voters. And now with a runoff election occurring in the middle of the summer when many voters will be out of town on vacation the challenge will be even greater to make sure your supporters show up to vote.
