Brady will become Senior House Republican on the Joint Economic Committee
WASHINGTON D.C. – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) appointed Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) as Senior House Republican on the Joint Economic Committee (JEC) today and issued the following statement:
“Kevin Brady has been a leader in the effort to create jobs for American families and root out waste fraud and abuse in government programs and he will bring a wealth of experience and wisdom to this post.
The American people know we can’t simply borrow and spend our way back to prosperity and I’m pleased that Kevin will continue to play a key leadership role in our efforts to produce an economic plan that will serve the interests of middle-class families and small businesses across the country.”
Brady a senior member of the House Ways & Means Committee was also recently appointed by Boehner to the House Select Committee on Earmark Reform.
