Bungling Obama tacitly admits his foreign policy wrong

By Lynn Woolley president-obama-paramount-7-10-143cAUSTIN Texas (Texas Insider Report) There is a reason that Republicans are poised to do well in the November elections. The President of the United States stands exposed as a major failure especially in foreign policy. President Obamas ISIS speech is about his new strategy" but the subtext is all about his lack of understanding of world events.   For years Obama has blamed everything thats wrong in the world on George W. Bush. Now Obama has nowhere to hide. He is the wrong man at the wrong time to be leader of the free world. Virtually every poll now indicates that the American people are finally realizing this fact and will take corrective measures at the ballot box. No president ever goes on national television to say I was wrong." But that whats Obama really is doing. His speech is all about correcting his own mistakes to the extent that his leftwing ideology will allow. This president essentially adopted the blowback" theories of former Congressman Ron Paul and put them into effect as U.S. policy. Video: Ron Paul talks about blowback in South Carolina debate - posted May 15 2007 This theory holds that if were nice to Islamists and stay out of their affairs they will like us and will not attack us. This is the opposite of the Dick Cheney doctrine which is more akin to the Ronald Reagan doctrine of peace through strength." So whos right? Ron Paul and the President? Or Dick Cheney and George W. Bush? BushIraq8Under Bush we likely over-applied American might. We invaded Iraq on the basis of intelligence that turned out to be faulty but not totally so. Saddam Hussein certainly did have chemical weapons that he used on the Kurds and those stockpiles went somewhere. And he did have designs on nuclear weapons as all dictators do. But the Bush administration did leave an Iraq that was in decent shape. Obamas more dovish policies changed all that. He did not leave a residual force in Iraq instead preferring the political advantages of a total U.S. withdrawal. He could not make up his mind about Syria and had to be bailed out by Russian President Vladimir Putin. We all know how that turned out both in Syria and in Russia where the so-called Obama reset" has collapsed to the point that war in Europe is now back on the table. With hotspots like ISIS in Iraq and Syria Crimea and Ukraine and the Gaza war other major world crises are ignored in the media. Iran is edging closer to becoming a nuclear power. China has threatened U.S. aircraft in the Pacific. North Korea still presents a problem. Mexico still holds retired U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi essentially hostage. This is just the Obama foreign policy. The Obama domestic policy is as feckless. The Affordable Care Act has made the cost of medical care more expensive through its redistributive policies. We now not only pay for insurance but also through our taxes for a vast new and costly obamabureaucracy. Obamacare also is a major job killer as it encourages companies to convert employees to part-time status. The recovery" has left millions without jobs and those who do work are saddled with stagnant wages. Obamas class warfare and constant attacks on Republicans for a fabricated war on women" has left the country bitterly divided. President Obama and the Democrats have had their time to governand they have failed miserably. By every possible metric the country and the world are worse off than they should be thirteen years after 9/11 and six years after the subprime crisis. Whether intentional or not Obamas speech is an admission of his own policy failures.
