State Senator Konni Burton (R-Colleyville) shortly after casting her vote to approve the operating rules (Senate Res. 39) for the Texas Senate during the 84th Legislative Session.
Key among the changes to the rules the Texas Senate will be lowering the threshold by which bills can be heard on the Senate Floor from two-thirds of members present to three-fifths or 60.

Konni Burton represents District 10 in the Texas Senate. Her district includes portions of Tarrant County including the cities of Ft. Worth Colleyville Arlington Bedford Euless Hurst Southlake Burleson Mansfield Kennedale Crowley Aledo and Forest Hill.
