(WASHINGTON DC) House Republican Conference Secretary John R. Carter (TX31) today called for the millions of Americans who participated in the 9-12" (September 12) march on Washington and congressional offices to turn out again this Thursday to help save the American healthcare system from a socialist takeover.
House Republicans have scheduled a national press conference and public rally Thursday at 12 Noon Eastern Time on the West Steps of the U.S. Capitol to build political momentum to defeat the Pelosi healthcare bill. The public is urged to join Members of Congress in protesting the Democrats attempt to eliminate private health insurance slash Medicare benefits and begin rationing care.
Those who cannot travel to Washington are urged to hold similar events across the country outside the district offices of U.S. Representatives who have not committed to defeating the Pelosi bill.
All through August and culminating with the 9-12 march on Washington millions of Americans turned out to let Congress know they wanted no part of what the Democrats were selling on healthcare" says Carter. But Speaker Pelosi has decided to simply ignore the majority of this country and take over the healthcare system anyway."
Carter called on all conservatives and conservative groups to turn out wherever they can Thursday to protest the upcoming vote. The folks who came up in September from all across this country werent paid protesters like those in events staged by the left. They were patriotic average American citizens who covered their own expenses in the middle of a recession to try to preserve their country. Most of them cant afford the time off work or the money to come back again this soon but some will and those that cant will still be turning out to make a lot of noise outside congressional offices nationwide."
The Pelosi healthcare bill is expected to cost over a trillion dollars and the jobs of 5.5 million American workers.
