Washington D.C. – U.S. Representative John Carter (TX-31) today was unanimously elected by his Republican peers to serve as the House Republican Conference Secretary.
“I am honored to be Conference Secretary and want to thank my colleagues for their support and commitment. I look forward to working with the rest of the Republican leadership team as we push to win back the majority.
“I will continue to work to provide a level of service to members and the leadership. I promise to fight on behalf of my colleagues interests and exemplify the bare-knuckles hard-working approach we need to succeed.
“If we Republicans will commit ourselves to our conservative principles and remember who we represent we will win back the hearts and minds of the American people. I am prepared to help lead our Conference in this new direction and will do my part to help us take back the House.”
