
Fort Worth Texas - The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) today congratulated U.S. Senator John Cornyn for his appointment to the Senate Agriculture Committee.
Senator Cornyn is a good friend to Texas ranchers Rancher and TSCRA President Dave Scott of Richmond said.
Its no secret that recent proposals in Washington would severely impact Texas cattle raisers. Everything from the Clean Water Restoration Act to the cap-and-trade bill have caused serious concern throughout the entire agricultural industry. Senator Cornyn has stood with us in opposing these bills. It is nice to know there is someone looking out for the Texas ranching industry in Washington.
TSCRA looks forward to continuing to work with Senator Cornyn in the future.
Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association is a 132-year-old trade organization and is the largest livestock association in Texas.
