Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas (HOUSTON) Today Ryan Sitton announced steps he is taking in preparation to take office as Railroad Commissioner in January 2015. Those steps include stepping down as CEO and President of his company (PinnacleAIS LLC) and placing the company in a blind trust.
As I prepare to join the Railroad Commission in January Im pleased to announce these changes said Commissioner-Elect Sitton. These steps will make sure that the citizens of the State of Texas are confident as I go to work for them. My time energy and passion will be focused on utilizing my energy experience to help the Railroad Commission be as efficient and effective as it can be and in turn make all Texans confident in how our states energy industry is operating.
Ive already started meeting with staff in Austin and visiting Railroad Commission field offices across the state to discuss upcoming priorities and ideas for the commission. Ive been meeting with legislators industry groups grassroots organizations landowners and numerous other groups and individuals to talk about their thoughts and ideas as well. Im excited about the opportunities that a strong energy industry has created in Texas and what they mean for our state and country. I also know there are some significant challenges facing the commission and energy industry and I look forward to being a productive participant in solving those challenges concluded Commissioner-Elect Sitton.
