Israel is a unique outpost for democracy in the Middle East and a longtime valuable friend to the United States.
I fully support the Israeli peoples right to maintain secure borders on land and a legal blockade at sea so that terrorists in Gaza are denied the weapons they will use to kill and wound innocent Israelis.
Until a viable peaceful Palestinian state comes into being and its people are capable of living side by side with Israel as good neighbors the U.S. should back Israels right to defend its people using this blockade" Barton stated.
