Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON DC U.S. Rep. Joe Barton who introduced the
Advancing Care for Exceptional Kids Act of 2015 (ACE Kids Act) will host a discussion forum around childrens health issues affecting medically complex patients. Barton will give an update on the
ACE Kids Act a proposal to improve how care is delivered to Americas children with complex medical conditions on Medicaid and representatives from Childrens Health will share insights into how this legislation would improve the lives of patients seen at Childrens Health every day. Speakers include:
- Ray Tsai M.D. president and chief medical officer of Childrens Health Pediatric Group
- Laura Keller director of complex chronic care
- Mike and Karen Kaighan along with daughter Emmy a Childrens Health patient requiring complex care because of a rare illness
Following the presentation and Q&A attendees will be given a tour of Childrens Health Specialty Center Dallas and Complex Care Medical Services.
