Texans have lived with this issue all of their adult lives,” said Cong. John Carter of Georgetown (R-TX31,) opening the standing room only Tea Party Town Hall Meeting attended by some 500 central Texans from around the city of Salado, just north of Austin.

“You all’ve got your own ideas on the solutions, and I’m willing to let you share those with me, but let’s talk about solving a problem in Washington, DC first.

Cong.Carter8-20-13TownHall2small“I am concerned about the fact that we have an Administration that has a history now of not enforcing the laws that are on the books,” said Carter, prior to laying out in detail his efforts to find a solution to a Senate controlled by the Democratic Party, a White House run by the head of the Democratic Party, and a House of Representatives controlled by the Republican Party.

Carter’s opening statement to, the inside perspective on, how the House of Representatives might tackle Immigration Reform, as well as his thoughts on the Obama Administration.    

“… I’m going to tell you something that’s my own personal feeling about the whole process. And I’ve been at it now for over 4 years.
