Earlier this week on Tuesday June 24th McCaul chaired a hearing of the Committee on Homeland Security with Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson testifying to address the crisis of unaccompanied children crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.Since October more than 50000 unaccompanied minors have crossed into the United States from Mexico nearly two-thirds of those crossed through the Rio Grande Valley in Texas" said McCaul who serves as chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee.
