AUSTIN – Less than three weeks before Election Day Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX 10) reports $597740 cash on hand in his third quarter filing report to the Federal Elections Commission. This includes $283000 raised in the third quarter.
Congressman McCaul’s third quarter fundraising numbers include 406 individual contributors many of whom contributed online. This election cycle more than 1300 individuals have contributed to the campaign.
I am pleased with our fund raising efforts and the number of individual contributors to our campaign” Rep. McCaul said. “It shows our message of reform and responsible government is resonating with the residents of the 10th Congressional District and the people’s determination to keep common-sense representation in Washington at a time when leadership matters most.
“We still have a lot of work to do to make sure we have enough funds to combat the National Democrats who have now officially targeted my race supporting my opponent. And I have vowed to do whatever it takes to defend myself Rep. McCaul said.
“We believe our broad grassroots support shows people are tired of the bitterly partisan and purely negative attacks from the Congressman’s trial lawyer opponent who has raised nearly one-third of his entire campaign funds directly from trial lawyers. That is an astonishing figure people should know about said McCaul spokesman Mike Rosen.
Congressman McCaul continues to run a positive campaign on the issues that directly affect the people of the 10th District. He will continue his call for reforms to instill accountability and responsibility in Washington and on Wall Street and he will continue to lead the push for an “all of the above” energy strategy which includes alternative energy and increased drilling in order to achieve America’s energy independence.
