Im proud to report that Republican conservatives in your Texas Legislature recently won several key victories. In the legislative session that just ended June 1st we:
• Reduced state spending by almost $2 billion dollars. I believe this is only the third time since WWII that state spending was cut over the previous budget.
• We reduced taxes for 40000 of our small businesses.
• We stopped Texas from accepting any federal stimulus money that came with strings attached from Washington.
• And we successfully fought off attempts to raid our states Rainy Day Fund" (Texas emergency savings account.)
Now that the legislative session is over campaigns begin and we have to stop the liberal Obama wave from making further inroads into our state. We lost too many seats in the Texas Legislature to liberal democrats in last Novembers elections.
We are now down to a one vote Republican majority in the Texas House! Please help us hold on to our conservative seats and also win back the seats we lost last November. Otherwise well soon see Texas go the way of California and other states where big government and liberal policies are destroying their economy and robbing their freedoms.
