Pelosi furious: Cromnibus was blackmail is heartbroken

WASHINGTON D.C. (Texas Insider Report) If youre among the
many conservatives upset with John Boehner heres an early Christmas gift: The media love to obsess over splits in the Republican
Party but there are even
deeper divisions among Democrats ... and theres every reason to believe they
will only get worse over the next two years.
Nancy Pelosi was furious that this bill passed. She went to the House floor and blasted the bill as blackmail saying she was heartbroken by it.
But it wasnt Speaker Boehner or Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell who broke Nancy Pelosis heart. No Pelosi was enormously disappointed in Barack Obama.
Obamas Unpopular Agenda
Heres why Democrats continues to struggle: President Obama and his agenda remain deeply unpopular.
The latest Fox News poll finds that Obamas approval rating stands at 42. Thats not bad compared to some of his key initiatives.
For example:
- 38 of registered voters approve of Obamas handling of health care while 58 would repeal Obamacare if they could.
- 37 approve of Obamas handling of foreign policy
- Only 32 of voters support Obamas plans to close the terrorist detention facility at Guantanamo Bay Cuba
- 56 support keeping Gitmo open.
- 36 approve of Obamas handling of immigration
- 60 of voters disapprove of Obama bypassing Congress and issuing an Executive Order granting amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.
Moreover 68 are concerned that Obamas abuse of power may be permanently altering our system of checks and balances
while 74 believe his executive amnesty will encourage more illegal immigration.
Establishment Candidate Emerging?
While much of the media speculation about 2016 focuses on Hillary Clinton Politico reports today that Mitt Romney appears increasingly interested in making another run at the White House.
Wall Street executives who recently met with the former Massachusetts governor say that Romney does not think much of the current GOP field and still views himself as the leader of the establishment wing of the Republican Party.
Romney reportedly encouraged these donors not to commit to a candidate. One executive said I came away from the conversation with the distinct impression that he was running.
Meanwhile the political left is growing increasingly restless.
Its no secret that the hard-core liberal base of the Democrat Party isnt happy about all the talk of Hillary Clintons inevitability. After all that same crowd denied her the nomination in 2008 and it is desperately looking for a credible progressive challenger.
Some speculate that Warren unofficially kicked off her presidential campaign this week. After all it wasnt Hillary Clinton or even Nancy Pelosi who started
the lefts insurrection against the cromnibus.
It was Warren.
Values Matter
A recent Bloomberg poll finds that just 39 of Americans approve of Barack Obamas job performance. Thats interesting. The economy is clearly improving -- job creation is up gas prices are down -- and Obamas
numbers are falling.
Politicians and pundits who repeat the mantra Its the economy stupid should stop and think about what this poll means.
Of course the economy matters but there are many other issues -- broadly categorized as values issues -- that also matter. Issues like the sanctity of life the definition of marriage religious liberty.
I believe it also includes how we think about our nation.
- Are our borders worth defending?
- Does American citizenship mean anything?
- Are we the good guys or are we imperialist oppressors?
It includes how we judge one another. Will we follow Dr. Martin Luther Kings dream and judge one another by the content of ones character? Or we will follow the lefts distorted view that asks us to judge too much by the color of ones skin?
Values broadly speaking includes how we deal with those who have waged war against us.
I dont understand why more conservatives arent speaking up on all these issues. They must stop talking like accountants and only about tax cuts and stop allowing the left to define what Americas values are.
