Dallas Region Selected As One Of Seven Polling Locations Nationwide
WASHINGTONU.S. Sen. John Cornyn R-Texas today issued the following statement encouraging Iraqis living in North Texas to participate in the upcoming elections. Irving has been selected as one of seven cities nationwide to serve as an official polling location for Iraqis living in the U.S..
I am proud that Irving is home to one of only seven polling locations nationwide where Iraqi voters can exercise their right to vote and participate in the upcoming Iraqi elections. I encourage all Iraqis living in the North Texas region to take advantage of this opportunity to be a part of the democratic process in Iraq a civil right that was long denied to Iraqis under the Hussein regime.
