Its particularly appropriate that were spending this week to complete our work on the defense authorization bill remembering the characterization of Jimmy Carter who said he cant think of a single country where we have improved relations under this presidency.

Its really really important for us to demonstrate our commitment to our men and women in uniform by making sure they know we have their back and were going to provide them the resources they need the training that they need in very dangerous work. So thats why its so important that we complete our work on the defense authorization bill to send a very strong message to our men and women in uniform and our friends and adversaries around the world.
