Cornyn Slams White House For Refusal to Bring Transparency to Obamacare

john-cornyn87Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. —After everything that has gone wrong with Obamacare, the very least this Administration can do is commit to providing Americans with regular updates on the program,” said U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) following the White House announcement it would oppose a bill by Cong. Lee Terry (R-NE) that would require Congress to receive weekly updates on Obamacare.  The White House said it was cost prohibitive, despite receiving a CBO cost score of zero.
“I find it incredible that President Obama, who promised to run the most transparent Administration in history, has the audacity to refuse additional transparency measures for a program that is in such obvious need of cornyn-flooroversight and review,” scolded Cornyn.

Senator Cornyn serves on the Finance and Judiciary Committees.  He serves as the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee’s Immigration, Refugees and Border Security subcommittee.

He served previously as Texas Attorney General, Texas Supreme Court Justice, and Bexar County District Judge.
