Not only did Tejanos develop Texas first towns roads and ranches Tejano customs and innovations left a rich and lasting imprint on our way of life in Texas.The Tejano Monument is a fitting and long overdue tribute to our earliest settlers and their descendants and I commend the many individuals and organizations who worked together for the past 12 years to make this day a reality" Cornyn said.
