Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement after he met with President Obama at the White House Tuesday:
Today as in the past the President publicly professed a willingness to work together but what truly matters is what he does when the cameras are off.
Time will tell if the President is sincere in his commitment today and if he is the new Republican majority stands ready to be a constructive partner in tackling some of the biggest challenges on behalf of the American people. But if the President doubles down on the same approach hes used the last six years Republicans will not stand idle while he ignores the will of the voters."
Senator John Cornyn a Republican from Texas is the Senate Republican Whip and a member of the Senate Judiciary and Finance Committees.
He served previously as Texas Attorney General Texas Supreme Court Justice and Bexar County District Judge.
