Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Five of the most respected leaders in the conservative movement and Republican Party in the Houston area Sen. Dan Patrick Paul Bettencourt George Strake Jared Woodfill & Gary Polland all announced their endorsement of Christi Craddick for Texas Railroad Commissioner.
They joina list of hundreds of conservative energy and business leaders throughout the state of Texas to voice their support for Craddicks candidacy.
I am honored to have the support of these conservative Republican leaders. We agree that in order to grow our economy we must reduce unnecessary government regulation to give businesses the freedom to create jobs" said Craddick.
Small businesses are the backbone of our states economy and the Texas energy industry is the states leading economic driver. We need demonstrated conservative leadership to fight back against Obamas EPA and stand up for our values.
I look forward to working with these leaders to ensure that Texas continues to lead the way in energy and job creation" Craddick said .

Paul Bettencourt is the former Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector where he earned a reputation of working hard to cut taxes as a fiscally responsible leader. He is respected statewide as a strong conservative and is a longtime activist in the Republican Party.
Jared Woodfill is the Chairman of the Harris County Republican Party and a partner at the law firm of Woodfill-Pressler. He is lifelong resident of Harris County and has helped lead the fight to elect conservatives to office for many years.
Gary Polland is the editor of Texas Conservative Review is co-host of Red White & Blue" political roundtable on PBS Houston and served as Harris County Republican Chairman from 1996 to 2002. As party chairman he earned national recognition for his leadership. His aggressive party-building efforts were featured in publications like Human Events The American Spectator The Houston Chronicle and Inside Houston Magazine.
George Strake is the former Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas during the Reagan Administration and served as Texas Secretary of State from 1979-1981. He currently serves on the board of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Strakes resume spans many decades of distinguished service to Texas and the Republican Party. He is among the most respected members of the GOP in both the Houston area and statewide.
Craddick is seeking the Republican nomination for the full term seat for Texas Railroad Commissioner.
