My capitol office has received an outpour from constituents in Senate District 4 and every member of the Jefferson County Commissioners Court publicly opposing the transfer of sexual offenders to Beaumont said Senator Creighton. I stand firmly with my district against the conversion of the Al Price facility into a halfway house for some of the worst sexual offenders in our state and request Governor Abbott stand with us.

This is not a classic not in my backyard scenario continued Senator Creighton. Job recruitment in Southeast Texas is key in keeping our state the 11th largest economy in the world. Maintaining a healthy recruitment effort cannot be achieved if the Al Price facility is converted.
