Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas — Texans for Dan Branch announced that TEXPAC, the political arm of the Texas Medical Association, has endorsed Dan Branch for Texas Attorney General in 2014. TEXPAC speaks on behalf of more than 47,000 Texas physicians and medical students, and nearly 5,000 alliance members. Organized in 1962, TEXPAC is one of the oldest political action committees in Texas.
“The Texas Medical Association TEXPAC is one of the most influential associations in the state, and its far-reaching support is a pivotal boost to our campaign,” said Branch.
“Dan Branch is a proven leader,” said TEXPAC Board Chair Jerry Hunsaker, MD.
“For the past decade in the Texas House of Representatives, he has demonstrated that he’s dedicated to Texas’ patients and their physicians on many important issues — from supporting Texas’ landmark medical liability reforms in 2003, which
helped to improve access to care for Texans, to reducing red tape and inefficiencies in our health care system.”
